I am wondering if there is any explanation in Kabbalah for the writing in Genesis where God said ” let us make man in Our Own Image”
Thank you for your answers and guidance.

Christian,
The Light that emanated from the Creator in the form of pleasure/fulfillment, imprinted itself into the matter of creation, called desire, thereby creating a matching desire that wants to be filled by It. Then the Light revealed its “bestowing” essence to this “desire to be filled,” thus showing the desire Its opposite nature. This compelled the desire to become equivalent to the Light – to become “bestowing.”
We are the ones going through this process, whether involuntarily or voluntarily. We go through it involuntary until a desire to do it voluntarily awakens in us. We then involuntarily come to Kabbalah – the method of becoming similar to the Creator voluntarily.
When one begins to implement the equivalence to the Creator voluntarily, one then takes control of himself and his world. Everyone will attain this, whether by suffering or by understanding that it’s necessary, and then by realization and love.

I have found the you tube and these videos within the course very easy to understand, however I am finding Dr. Laitman very hard to sit down and read. I tend to listen to podcasts when I am out walking but don’t have the time to sit for hours reading. Also, another question, I have been meditating the Ana B’Koach every day for some time with great peaceful results but now I am finding it hard, should I carry on? I think it’s important to have a discipline.
Thanks for all the input. It’s a well organised course and well made. A great gift, thanks Claire

Marie,
We have 10s of 1000s of hours of audio and video lessons if you prefer to listen instead of reading.
Find what works best for you.

“Love of money is the source of all evil”. How do you explain this in terms of kabbalah?

Koena,
Here’s a good video about this from our teacher the Kabbalist Rav Laitman.

Albert:
Laitman: “Money is the universal equivalent for effort”.
Like the super rich putt a lot of effort into let others work
very hard and long hours, give them only a fraction of what
their labor is worth and take the rest for them self?I have lets say a net worth of dollar 20 million.
Took me 2 hours, had to kill the people from whom I stole it. I put effort in it.Is all of this a: ” special talent giving me from above?” (Laitman)
Exploiting and killing?

The person I love does not receive from me what she wants or as much as she wants. I guess I’m not able to give it to her. She thinks she’s giving me a lot, but I don’t feel like that’s what I need or want. That is why we receive from each other what we do not enjoy. One could say cause and effect, but to me this looks like a story about a grandmother who feeds her full grandson.
How to give more than you think you can, how to dissolve your ego and stop thinking about self and stop wanting what makes you happy? What if what you are giving is not what that person wants or is looking for?

Pera,
Some people love hugs, they want to be hugged all the time. Other people hate being touched. So if you are hugging with all your heart someone who hates being touched…so you’re not really giving. Or if a person can’t pay his bills and you make him a great dinner, so he may like the dinner but maybe he prefers that you would have spent the money not on dinner but on his bills.
These are not spiritual examples, but you need to clarify more what is happening in the situations you are describing. There is much more nuance and flavor than simply “she won’t receive what I’m giving”. Maybe it’s not the right season. A cat goes into heat during a certain season, that’s it. The cat is not interested in a mate at other times, just when her nature awakens her.But if you want to make a spiritual calculation, there is absolutely no limitation on how much you can love the other, bestow to the other in your heart, pray for the other. Start with this and see each time how you discover your ego behind the prayer and each time try to cut out that ego and start anew and again and again.
Soon you will have a need for the Creator to really come and answer your prayer.Seth@KabU

That os so interesting. I am goingoing to learn all material and getting to understand you.
I cry out that every world should study this content and to know that The war is an aact ofof egoism. Só, that is my question. We have learnt That The creator os The cause of all the happing in this lowest world. Why The creator made us in ano oposit way.

João,
The Creator desired to bestow all of His goodness upon creation.
In order to do that, He had to make creation 100% to receive.
Now all of our work is to learn to receive (kabbalah means receive) in a special way where our receiving does not separate us from Him.
Later in our study we will learn all of these processes in much detail.
