ParticipantPutting yourself in other people’s shoes. It is instinctively knowing that we are all one, and if we hurt another we are really hurting ourselves. Conversely, if we help another we are also helping ourselves and the collective.

ChrissyParticipantWhen we experience an awakening in the point of our hearts, we recognize the need to correct our ego. This correction involves reforming our attitudes towards one another, with the understanding that the desires of others are interconnected with our own. Our focus begins to shift from self-centric thoughts to a focus on others. This transformative awareness fosters a change in our collective attitudes, allowing us to perceive the needs and desires of those around us as integral. Within a spiritual environment the Light begins to reform our attitude, transitioning from a self-focused perception of reality to one grounded in altruism. closer to the Creator.

EnayatParticipantAs a student of Kabbalah, the transition from a self-centered perception to one based on altruism means a fundamental shift in how I perceive reality. This stage of my journey marks the beginning of understanding that the external world is actually a reflection of my inner self, and as long as I remain trapped within my personal and selfish desires, I cannot truly feel the Light. This path is a deep practice of correcting my intention, recognizing the true nature of the “self,” and striving to unite with the Upper Force through love and connection with others. Now I understand that the purpose of studying Kabbalah is not just to know, but to become as close as possible to the giving and loving nature of creation.

JOANParticipantTo learn, know and feel ” Love thy neighbour as yourself”. In so doing we are actually loving and bestowing back to the creator, which is our very essence of soul and there is only one soul. Each and every ‘body’ we meet is a ‘mask’ [ illusion] including our own masks, behind which we can spiritually find the creator. We mirror/reflect different states of attainment. Each ‘mask’ reveals a level of egoistic desire which needs correction. By connecting and integrating, from the point of the heart, we can help each other to higher levels of spiritual attainment.
