“Hence, it is good that there will be equality among the friends who unite, so one can be annulled before the other.”
I chose this verse because it elevates us all to who we really are; the”egoless” soul created by our creator, equally loved by our creator.
And for last week’s question which I failed to answer. I make myself Rav when I integrate and incorporate his teachings into my heart and into my life.
AndreanneParticipantGood morning,
I need your help to clarify the opening and closing intention components of our individual 10 meetings, due to my inexperience.
What should be an opening and closing intention in a 10 meeting?
Should it be an excerpt from one of the Kabbalists we are studying?
Or should it be something I create myself inspired by an excerpt, for example, a prayer I feel & create? Or does the latter refer more to an inner state about the meeting (inner intention)?
Thank you kindly!
AndreanneParticipantHomework lesson #5.
Notions I took from the lesson, and messages that will help build between us a demand so that none of us will be able to differentiate themselves from the others, and we will feel as one:
A person is created with a Kli called self-love (Ego). Our ego is naturally very tricky. It can inflate my perception of self importance, or belittle me, or both, intermittently. It’ll do whatever it takes to perceive itself in control. By connecting, I learn that you and me are the same. That we have the same human ego, as well as a divine spark, a drive to reach spirituality through our inner work. That neither you and I is greater or smaller, because the notion of “size” only relates to how the ego perceives itself. I reach out of myself and give you more importance, and learn to see your greatness. I learn that only with you, and through our connection practice, can I tame my ego. When it’s asked of me to bestow, I have nothing to give except pray for you to reach spiritual fulfillment. When it’s asked of me to self-annul, I see only your merits and greatness. I learn that by annulling I’m giving.
May the reforming light always lead our way and connect us through our points in the heart.
AndreanneParticipantI hope that clarity will come as I continue to study
AndreanneParticipantExcerpt:
“For this reason, the society must consist of individuals who unanimously agree that they must achieve it. Then, all the individuals become one great force, where one can fight against oneself, since each one is incorporated in everyone else. Thus, each person is founded on a great desire to achieve the goal.
To be integrated in one another, each person should annul himself before the others. This is done by each seeing the friends’ merits and not their faults. But one who thinks that he is a little higher than his friends can no longer unite with them.”
I chose this excerpt because of the encouragement I feel that we’re all working towards the same goal and with the same method. Each of us is making an effort and for this reason we all have some space to share and learn from one another. The paradox is that each friend feels valued and an important component towards reconnecting with the creator.
AndreanneParticipant1. ” What do I have to do in order to “make myself a Rav”?
A rav’s role is to bring students to the creator. The student’s role is to nullify in order to receive the rav’s teachings with absolute trust.
2. “Share your impression of Rav after watching this clip:
I admire Rav Leitman’s commitment, passion, and dedication to pass on the teachings to everyone who has chosen to open their heart to learning the wisdom of Kabbalah with him.
