Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #450783
Andrew LawsonParticipantTo discover more about the importance of our connection to one another. It seems the more I try, the more I learn something of myself that is blocking the way. I hope to maintain a wider perspective, to gain the understanding of the Creator so I might grow into his purpose. All is welcome.
Andrew LawsonParticipantI fell most inspired by the thought that, what seemed impossible (world peace) is simply a result of correcting the desires of mankind, and that I can start with me, right now! And that in some small way my efforts can influence not only those near me but potentially many more beyond my scope of perception.
I have learned that my heart sings at the connection with the Creator, and when this is in the essence of all that I do, my energy in my life is much more sustained and my experience more fulfilling.
I wish my fellow students to strive to hold the maxim:
“to love others as you love yourself”
in their lives. I have found it hard to find love for some people, but when I realized that the emotions that they brought up in me revealed my own correction, and I gave myself the grace and forgiveness for my own mistakes (love yourself). Then I was more able to afford that love for others. It might just be the more I show grace, kindness and forgiveness to myself, the greater capacity I create for loving others. And perhaps those I find hard to love, need it the most.August 18, 2025 at 11:46 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: If everyone must reach the ultimate goal, what is my role in the process? #449245
Andrew LawsonParticipantTo grow my connection to the upper force, to allow it to guide me and fore fill me. To become one with the upper force be correcting my desires and loving my fellow mankind so they may also feel the the grace to seek the light of the Creator.

Andrew LawsonParticipantI am looking forward to finding a group to continue this journey in Kabbalah.
I am lucky that I have friends in my local community that are all seeking a spiritual path. I can see how we all influence our development towards the Creator and without them I may not have come as far as I am today.
There is still a ways to go in my journey and so if I have the opportunity to grow the environmental within KabU to spur this passage on in myself and others I will be grateful.
However, do I need to by weary of influences of others not seeking the Creator in a Kabbalah tradition?
I feel like my lessons have the ability to influence those around me, therefore naturally others will influence me. But perhaps there is a place were I can find the Creators intention in the journey of each person near me and either be influenced or not if I choose?
August 8, 2025 at 9:20 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: What does it mean to view reality from the perspective of the Creator? #448303
Andrew LawsonParticipantTo remove the egoistic perspective of whether the world is one minute either working with me or against me. Rather, to see the world from the vantage of the Creator is to see that everything from the external is good, as all we experience is intended to help us grow toward the equivalence of form with the Creator. Amen
