BradParticipantHow does josephs brothers represent parts of bestowal?
can i compare joseph to the shamash candle that is the servant of the others?
happy Hanukkah
BradParticipantThat makes sense now, its hard to give up what we love so much, (money) where as teffilin tzit tzits is not a strong desire as money. On the surface it would seem the other mitzvots do not give you livelihood, (some may argue otherwise) but thats Best answer yet. Thank you sir!
BradParticipantHello
Why is “Maasar” mandatory but the rest of the physical mitzvots are considered “religious” and not mandatory? Even though maasar is a spiritual and physical act Just like kosher, teffilin ect. Why is it singled out?
BradParticipantHi Gianni
1• Since Adam was not the very first human, and, being made from the dust, already “mature” what does these descriptions mean? Dust, not a baby but a Man etc. or is it not even talking about the “physical man”?
2• how did humans evolve, was it through millions of years of molecules and bacteria ? Living on the animal level until Adam awakened a desire ?
3• also, since im here, during the NY retreat you did a special teaching on perception, you talked about modern day prophets, the blind lady that could read, and flat earth etc. can, or “have” you done a youtube video on that? I would like to watch it again.
thanks
BradParticipantThis week, we are learning about dissemination in Young Group. I had discussions with my Christian co- worker, i mentioned, how everything comes from G-d. Including our thoughts, sins, He hardened pharaohs heart etc. And basically most are just programmed, of course he says…but we have free will, we choose to sin!
Whats a good analogy or way to explain Kabbalistic free will? I think , we have free will but there’s a catch, kind of…? When do we really realize it?
