DanParticipantWhat I got from the past courses is that spiritual work is can only be done in a group, which is consistent with my gut feeling. Now, I can pay more attention to the most spiritually effective actions, instead of other actions that may feel gratifying to some extent but represent lower desires. I’m looking forward to using the map of the scattering of Adam Kadman into the reshimot and our collective correction for this. After the first two courses now I know what to expect; The content remains challenging, but as it builds on itself it is beginning to feel like a more complete system that I can use to always be moving towards having less egoistic desires. Even if the speed it happens is slow, I am sure that by completing reflections like these, I’m in the right direction. My expectation from this course is that we will interact more with one another.
DanParticipantWhat inspired me are the gems of meaning that come occassionally. It truly is inspiring to see there are others who can access the same spiritual power.
I learned to differentiate between the spiritual and the non-spiritual in the context of activities and involvements.
I wish for other students strength in their authenticity and the will to continue.

DanParticipantThis lesson was interesting and answered many of the questions I had about Kabbalah,
There’s a couple that could still be clarified, though.
First, in the 5 levels of life from still-vegetative-animate-speaking and the final one, how is it that there are 5 discrete levels when biology goes against this, for example fungi might be placed in the vegetative level for certain features but have communication methods that surpass animals (or even humans), the same could go for some insects like bees.
Second, One of the readings talked about restriction which happens when the person starts their process of correction. This is not a new concept to me, but the way it was described in the text reminded me of how i’ve observed some people pass through the spiritual experience, first with what appears to be a rejection of worldly things and desire, as the screen or masach develops the first restriction is more intense. I think this is really universal knowledge that is not limited to a specific sect or religion, so is it simply so that Kabbalists use these terms that other traditions may also use?
Thank you !

DanParticipantThank you for clarifying,
How will we know if the movement between levels of attainment is really indicating growth or just norml fluctuation between our connection with the creator and our wanting to do things ‘for the sake of it’?
