“That is, he must not think that there is the force of the Sitra
Achra (Other Side), which does not allow a person to do good
deeds and follow God’s ways. Rather, all is done by the Creator.”This makes me think of satan or the opponent. I believe this means the opponent is a tool of the Creator himself to give us challenges to overcome and depend on the Creator for help in drawing near.  Am I off in this thinking?
David BruceParticipantMy soul knows it’s true as soon as I hear it…yet we don’t live that way. Everything seems separate in this world and it used to be hard not to view everything that way.  Viewing the world through the lens “there is none else besides him” changes everything.  I am trying to incorporate this into my daily life as I conduct my daily tasks and encounter so many “other things”.

What do I expect from this course? #383715David BruceParticipantI’m really looking forward to Week 3 and hearing the contrast between Kabbalah and religion.  I grew up religious…and then went through a deconstruction period…but never lost my love for the Creator and my desire to connect with him and live as he intended me to live.
David BruceParticipant1. What most inspired me in the course?
The realization that intention is the key. I’m a desire to receive and that will never change. But…do I intend to receive for myself alone? or do i intend to receive in order to share with others. I now examine my intention before I do or think or say anything. It’s been very helpful!!
2. What have I learned about myself in the process?I’m nothing but a desire to receive.  And left unchecked that desire will always be to recieve for myself alone. What’s best for me?  Now I know to gauge my intention before doing anything.
3. What do I wish for my fellow students in their spiritual development?
That we all climb the ladder together and attain that which we were created to attain…in this life!!
David BruceParticipantI’m David from Virginia in the USA. I hope to study kabbalah deeper…
