There are two answers to this question. The first is to change our attitude and the second is to change our environment.

    Hello,

On the knowledge check question: “How do Kabbalists describe the picture of reality?”

We chose the answer, “As a system that is designed to develop within us a mature desire to perceive the Creator,”

    and were wrong.

    The other two choices were:

That “There is None Else Besides Him”

    or

That there is only one power and acting force in reality, which is the Creator.

These last two choices seem to be saying the exact same thing.

Is our answer wrong, or is it a mistake on the test?

If our answer is wrong, please tell us  the correct answer.

I am hoping to learn here how to do that.  Often I make plans and they blow up in my face.  I think it helps to try and see how the seemingly negative events and feelings in my life are sent by the Creator for my own good.

Often times, after a negative event, I realize that if I had gotten what I wanted, I would be unhappy, and usually the way things work out seem better.

I feel like I benefited from the last course in many ways.  Because of the reading, I better understood divorce because it’s about people’s selfish natures. I achieved deeper spiritual enlightenment from both the reading material, and the “Kabbalah Revealed” courses. I enjoy the overall logic. I really enjoy reading the books. The reading and method brings me a sense of happiness and peace. It gives me something to consider during our family Torah reading.  I like finding the Kabbalah teachings in the old text.

I expect a better understanding of balance in the universe and people in general. I expect to learn even more from this next course.  I expect to learn how better to benefit those around me.

    1. What most inspired me in the course?

The course reading material was really inspirational to me.  I found the methods in Kabbalah Revealed to be an additional way for me to worship my higher power and the work on self improvement was inspiring.  I also like the logic and scientific nature of the material…..even though I know (Faith Above Reason) is key.

    2. What have I learned about myself in the process?

I didn’t realize how selfish I was, but the course helped me realize that I am selfish and working on myself has been difficult.  I realize that I am a work in progress, but I am happy to have a method to begin my journey on the road to altruism. I learned I am evil and that I need the Creator’s help.

    3. What do I wish for my fellow students in their spiritual development?

I wish that the Creator gives them strength to overcome their egoistic nature.  I wish the enjoy the course and achieve spiritual enlightenment.  I wish them the best.  If they do good, it helps everybody, me included.

We must make a conscious effort with blind faith not to fall into egoism. The first step is wanting and the desire to receive from the Creator.
