We need to work on both. In both cases, the Upper Force will finish the job. But it will be in response to the quantity and quality of my efforts to do so, while expecting its assistance.

Phase 2 is very different in quality, but most importantly it is without the realization of the quality that he is in compared to the quality that the Upper Force is in. It is also without the realization that the Upper Force loves me, thinks only of me, and that I can in no way be that way, as it created me the opposite of that, where I think only about myself and receiving maximally.

It’s important for me to say no, that no attribute that we have, know of, or even dreamed of has anything in common with the qualities of the Sefirot. What we have are desires – but they are all uncorrected. That is, they must go through a process (constituting the whole method of Kabbalah) by which they receive Tzimzum (Restriction), Masach (Screen), and Ohr Hozer (Reflected Light). In this complete inversion of my desire as it is now, we reveal the qualities called Sefirot. Only in the complete inversion of my desires as they are now – and we can’t even imagine what that means yet – do we arrive at such spiritual qualities. Which is why all those books that talk about the qualities of the Sefirot and all the more relating them to human qualities are either mistranslated, or even worse and is often the case, baseless fabrications not written by real Kabbalists.
Talking about those born in our times, we can draw the Light only from the writings of Baal Hasulam and Rabash. And in them, in an arrangement that we can work with, are included all the other legitimate sources like the Zohar and the Ari. Also, generally speaking, to be tied by root and branch to the Upper World is the very definition of a writing from which it is possible to move closer to that Upper World, through the Reforming Light.
There’s something to what you’re saying and you’re right, it will be resolved. But not in a few simple words can it be explained how right you are, that you only reach the Creator through the prism of our reality, and it is not that one can aim directly at the Creator. Because aiming at Him means aiming at equivalence with His attributes. And His main attribute is that He loves His Creation and wants to bring all its parts to the greatest good, which for now is something we can’t even imagine. So the wisdom of Kabbalah is the method of tying all the reality to one source and responding back, through that same reality, to the source of it all, the Creator.

The Machsom (Barrier) is tge concealment of the Upper World by the Creator, since I don’t know how to conceal it from my ego, the desire to receive with the intention to receive for my own pleasure. I would not be able to reveal only the Lights that can certainly be received with the intention to bestow. There is a flawless x-ray of my intentions that knows me through and through, much more than I know myself. When I develop what is called Masach (screen), the resistor to any pleasure that is not for the sake of the Creator, then this Screen conceals the Upper World from my ego and I reveal the Upper World above the ego.
