To help the others, even if my ego resists, I act “as if” their needs become my needs, their 620 desires, become my desires, 613 plus 7 Mitzvot to be honored.
We may fortify our connection with the illuminating force through the spiritual work of our group, an instructor and the texts of Kabbalah and amplify by our group prayer which could be a tenfold amplification.
I’m hoping this course will offer insights and a practical path to working in a group of friends and what that will entail and how practically to go the path of the three lines and the middle line, and how to utilize the “as if” principle to feel a similarity with the the Upper Force and begin the process of bestowal.
The previous course revealed many wonderful insights about Lishma and Lo Lishma ( quite different than my previously held understanding of these terms) ; how to build a second nature; what is a prayer; and much more. The best experience for me was the idea of come and taste of the Lord, as it helped me to feel the nature of the work we are beginning from an interior place. something I struggle with greatly. Recently I begin to feel what seems a closeness to the Creator then soon the feeling slips away and I’m left confused and bewildered and somewhat saddened.
I hope this course will reveal the practical application methodology of the knowledge we have been exploring, including but not limited to the operative qualities of the group of friends and how we grow in similarity to the Creator.
Baal HaSulam writes of two experiences of freedom. One is our initial choice of an environment, Kabbalist texts and guides to aid us in attracting the Reforming Light. We begin to build our kli / vessel to hold more Reforming Light. Our corrections (re-forming) occur and when we reach the uppermost stage and receive only to bestow on the Creator we experience another freedom, that of escape from the Angel of Death.
