JelenaParticipantHi!
I’m so grateful to finally be on this journey I didn’t realise I was seeking up until a few weeks ago 🙂 . I’m finishing my second semester of the course, and so far it’s made everything feel like it’s falling into place — life makes much more sense and I’m enthusiastic to learn more.
However, around the lesson “There is none but Him,” an intense feeling of emptiness appeared out of nowhere. I can’t explain it as a reaction to anything in my daily life — on the contrary, I’ve generally felt balanced. It is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. My usual self-regulating routines (painting, running, meditating, CBT, sleep, diet…anything) don’t touch it. In fact, as the beneficial effects of those actions fade, the void intensifies. When I focus on it, I get instantly overwhelmed (as if I am suddenly breathing the air with insufficient oxygen is best I can describe it). As someone with a counselling background, this is baffling to me. It’s an intense sense of lack that I can’t locate or rationally explain. If it’s related to the course, it doesn’t feel at all like what one would expect “drawing the Light” to feel like — rather the opposite. I might be missing or misinterpreting something. It’s starting to affect my daily life and is making it difficult to stay motivated. It’s been a few weeks and it’s wearing me down.
I’m not sure what this is, but it seems like it may need regulation on a spiritual level? If so, I would be grateful if you could share resources or advice to help me understand and address this state.
Thank you

JelenaParticipantI enjoyed learning about the perception of reality and would like to continue to deepen my understanding of the topic.
As a non religious person, this is the first time I found the approach to spirituality that makes sense to me so far.April 23, 2026 at 2:36 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: In what way have I gained a deeper understanding of my life and of the forces working in the world? #496278
JelenaParticipantThe knowledge of reality beyond our perception is now shaped and guided by the new sense of purpose.
