Is it appropriate to send uplifting messages with intention to bring connection to the group in personal Telegram messages and not in the group messages. I.E. new Friends enter the group and they are making great efforts to arrange their schedules to make group meetings – send them a personal note of appreciation or if a Friend is felt to be leaving a meeting really down send them a personal message of their importance to the group and try to uplift them?

Hi, my name is Joseph. I am a second semester Young Group student with Bnei Baruch. I am taking course in order to draw more reforming light to increase the connection in the Ten group that I am in.

Does the covenant made to love the Friends in the Ten continue after a Friend is separated by a corporeal death? Is there something the Ten can do to help the Friend’s point in the heart make it back to the path quickly or is this solely the Creator’s providence?

YG Homework from The Connection Between Us:

What did I take away from the lesson? This definition (as I heard) from the beginning video clip of Rav Laitman. “Paraphrased.”

Connection exists neither in you or me but something between us. Don’t search for it on the inside of you, but connection means between us, between you and me, not the bodies, but the feeling of you and me, feeling closer and closer until both of us are one.

How do we make sure that we draw the reforming light with every action of ours that will help build between us a demand so that none of us will be able to differentiate himself from the others, and we will feel as one?

We draw the reforming light by staying connected on a daily basis to the environment (Rav, teachers, articles, Friends) that builds and supports the intention to draw the reforming light in order (a demand) for the Friends to have Dvekut with the Creator.

    YG Homework assignment post:

    3. RABASH, Article No. 18 (1989), “What Is, ‘There Is No Blessing in That Which Is Counted,’ in the Work?”

When a person should replace the goal, meaning where in the beginning of his work in Torah and Mitzvot, his goal—which he wanted to achieve through the labor—was self-benefit, now he replaces the goal. That is, where he thought, “When will I achieve the goal for my will to receive so I can enjoy?” now he yearns for the goal and says, “When will I be able to delight the Creator and relinquish self-benefit?”

Since this purpose is against nature, he needs more faith in the Creator, since he must always exert to obtain the greatness of the Creator. That is, to the extent that he believes in the greatness of the Creator, to that extent he can work with this intention. For this reason, it is upon a person to pray each day that the Creator will open his eyes so he will recognize the greatness and importance of the Creator, so he has fuel to labor with the aim to bestow.

Reason I chose this text: because this replacing the goal occupies my thoughts and feelings day and night.

What I feel from this text: Currently I am in a state of fully seeing my lack in changing goal from self-benefit. The question, “When will I be able to delight the Creator and relinquish self-benefit?” Brings a deep longing and sense of complete helplessness. Praying just to be able to pray for more faith in the Creator.
