Katrina LeeksParticipantI can see that I have much work ahead of me because learning has highlighted all aspects of my life. It also brings the feeling that I have found the right purpose in all my goals and projects. Before I started studying, I was in a crisis about serving society, and the ego. I couldn’t do it anymore, but I had to live. It was a depression, the depth of which others didn’t seem to understand. But I know that the people here could understand.
I now look forward to what’s ahead, connecting with others, the ups and the downs, everything!

Katrina LeeksParticipantThank you for sharing. I think that is a perfect summarizing quote from Dr. Michael Laitman and I truly feel the same.

Katrina LeeksParticipantWe would seek to include all expressions of the human condition we see in others within ourselves. We wouldn’t seek to exclude others from what we perceive is ours. We would provide for each other based on need.
January 23, 2025 at 12:00 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #420074
Katrina LeeksParticipantIf we come together, we already have a shared desire. We can then connect with the others in our group and allow our interactions to reveal our ego projections, allowing us to see the other side of those falsehoods. Threatening feelings that come from personal conflict in a group are easier to name and are therefore easier to sort through.
Once we truly get to know others, we can include them in ourselves. They become a part of us. The more we feel the others as ourselves, the more our desires combine into a larger vessel. Our studies and our teacher will help us with the screen for that large vessel. The more pleasure we feel and perceive from our shared desires and intentions, the more Light we can draw. At least, that’s my best sketch of how that might work.

Katrina LeeksParticipantThe way that GE and AHP were discussed in the lecture opened the door on my understanding a bit more. I felt like I understood before, but it really helped. Then going back and reading my notes I see, “The higher degree above desire is intention”. I also watched the related videos and two helped as well.
The thing is, I understand the material, but at this point I’m looking around and I’m looking inside myself for points of recognition. I’m observing my thoughts and actions and trying to understand these things inside myself. I’ve gone through this before, but it took from age 21-42. That was just me being pushed from behind and it was extremely painful. When I came to Kabbalah, I woke up and was made aware of what had taken place. Even now I don’t know exactly where I am or what is next. I do know that my past experience will help me in this process of figuring out what it means to go from the AHP, (desires for myself) to turning them into GE, (my intention to bestow onto the Creator). Also, because of my experience I have to question myself a second time, “Am I seeking correction and this path because I simply want to avoid the suffering from the past?” Sometimes I don’t know, so having others to work with will be amazing.

Katrina LeeksParticipantI’m so sorry to keep inserting myself. It’s like I’m stuck on your question.
Good and Bad, or the perception is only in the worlds BYA. I recommend reading the Introduction to the Book of Zohar. The Preface comes first, don’t skip it. He talks about keeping us focused on what we are able to learn in our current states. He explains levels of perception and shows them in relation to the world. After the Preface comes the Introduction. This is where he asks 5 common questions and answers them in depth. I’m not saying you will understand everything, but the more I learn the more the concepts come to life. You will get your answers if you keep going. The copy I have says Volume Two, and the original texts are from Baal HaSulam and the commentary is by Rav Michael Laitman PhD.
