September 8, 2023 at 3:28 pm EDT in reply to: Share your impressions and experience from listening to the book of Zohar. What feelings did it evoke in you? #330445MarcyParticipantBoth were way to listen to. I immediately began seeing a vision with both. While the English version was like a guide to what I saw, the Hebrew version was much more impactful for me because the details of what I saw were clearer and there was nothing to guide me. It felt more real to me.
September 4, 2023 at 7:34 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: What does transitioning from a self-centered perception of reality to one grounded in altruism entail? #330218MarcyParticipantTo me, it means to go from a “the world revolves around me” mentality to one that recognizes that we are all one and I am a part of the whole. When I receive from the bestower, I can bestow back to him and to others which in itself is a form of this infinite cycle of receiving and bestowing.
September 1, 2023 at 4:09 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Congratulations on progressing through the intermediary stages of your Kabbalah learning by staring this new course! Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #330029MarcyParticipantI have an insatiable desire to spend time with the Creator. So much so, that I get frustrated just dealing with everyday life, like work. I work with the public. My egoistic self gets impatient with others. I want to have a heart of bestowal like the creator so I treat others with love. Right now my heart is full of impatience. I hope this semester provides me with tools to help on that journey.
September 1, 2023 at 3:55 pm EDT in reply to: What was my best experience from the previous course? What do I expect from this course? #330028MarcyParticipantBest and most difficult experience from last course is the realization of ego and the intentions behind how I interact with others. I am hoping this course we’ll help see me on the road to changing that egoistic intention to one of bestowal.
