For my fellow students, I wish the purest love, connection, inspiration and happiness. When we see the spark in each other underneath all this-worldly distractions, we will desire to unite.

I have a better understanding of the ego and its role (this course has provided me with the best and clearest explanation of ego that I’ve encountered), and I see the destructive nature of the ego that has been growing more and more self-serving. I know that I need to and want to learn more so that my tiny point in the heart will grow. I want to feel connected.
September 4, 2023 at 1:08 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: To what perception of reality do we want the study of Kabbalah to lead us? #330200MaritaParticipantThat life is not about the “WYSIWYG-reality” of this world but rather about attaining a much more vast and abundant reality of the Light. Kabbalah teaches us the way (the steps) that lead us to the truth.

I keep going back to the idea that the Creator wants to fill us with Light, and it’s important for me to make sure I am empty enough (of all things this-worldly) so that I am able to receive. That it’s not just me reaching out into the darkness in the hopes of finding meaning but there’s this great Love wanting to reach me, too, if I’m ready for the connection.

Are they one person or many? Where do I find them (or do they find me)? How important is it to be able to meet them in person and have one-on-one interactions – or can this happen online and in a group setting? Are they more like a coach / mentor, or someone who gives you the knowledge they assess you need and then you go and absorb those things (i.e. like in the traditional teacher-student relationship)?
