MelanieParticipantAs I understand it ; in religion we ask our creator to give us things do things for us or make things better, although in our imagination those kinds of prayers do work sometimes as bandages for a short while but it doesn’t really make things better in the long run. Whereas the kabalistic approach of prayer is to ask your creator to change you to see the truth and make corrections which is more of a permanent fix that will lead to the stairway to heaven. Am I understanding this correctly?
December 14, 2024 at 5:28 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Question: The importance of clearly defining the goal in the study of Kabbalah is the beginning of the path. Once the goal is defined, you will continue to refine it to keep yourself perfectly aimed at the target. How would you currently define the goal for which you are studying? #409901
MelanieParticipantI am studying Kabbalah to end all suffering by turning my ego into my servant.

MelanieParticipantBy being childlike (be innocent like a child. Have faith that it will all come out good in the end because in reality it is all good. We are just dreaming according to our perceptions. Is there some tiny bit of truth to this (no ego included).
December 13, 2024 at 12:52 am EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Try to imagine the sensation behind the statement “There is None Else Besides Him.” How can I feel that the entire reality is the action of the Creator? #409776
MelanieParticipant“There is None Else Beside Him”
Meaning He is all there is; therefore all that exists is Him, and that includes humans and all of creation; It give me a feeling of awe 🫢 It is like red-fin the fish in the fish bowl who doesn’t know that there is a life outside that fish bowl. I feel like red- fin, but unlike red-fin I know there is more and I want it.
MelanieParticipantWhat inspired me the most about the Kabu courses is that there is a clear path to follow and practice that will lead us back to where we came from.
I have learned that I am very reactive. Since I have been pausing before I react to a situation and in off itself is brings me more peace. I also get a chance to look at the situation from different perspectives and see that it isn’t worth my emotions. The exercise of pausing and not blaming is making my day to day life more pleasurable.
I wish for my follow students to really take this teaching to heart and really do it even when it gets hard. I have been looking for the truth for 40 years. I have done most of the disciplines being offered in the world, but after a while there is nothing there. When Kabala found me 2 years ago, I tasted it and found it very complicated. I stopped but came back because I didn’t see any other teaching out there with a clear step by step way to heaven.
