I have just finished Part 2 week 3 lessons.  I was / still am a Christian but my understanding has changed. I don’t want to distract anyone by continuing to reference Christianity. I had something happen to me 3 years ago that was explosive and I felt it physically and still feel it spiritually. Some kind of awakening. I began to understand the scripture differently and began seeing verses I never noticed before which was strange because I have read the Bible faithfully most of my life. First it was the numbers , 3, 12, 7, 40, and 5. I discovered the Ages, Aries , pisces, even aquarius being foretold. Then the number 4 and the upper and lower mind. Davids 5 stones ( the 5 senses) Jesus 5 wounds. crucifying the senses. Fellow christians dont seem to see the teachings as i do now. I was wondering . Is there a Key, I mean. I have come to understand the word “bread” tends to mean nourishment / wisdom I think ? , but what about other words like ” river , or mountain, etc.” I know I am getting ahead of myself. I know there are no shortcuts. I came to Kabbalah looking for tools so that I could be successful at following the teachings of Jesus in the Gospels; because they teach to love others as yourself and to die to self in order to be born of spirit. This sounds very much like what I am learning here as well, except here it is explained in a way that gives me tools to actually achieve this goal. I desire with all my heart to be able to read the scriptures and understand what they truly teach.

This weeks lesson is a giant step for me. It all rings true. Thank you

Once the goal is defined, you will continue to refine it to keep yourself perfectly aimed at the target. How would you currently define the goal for which you are studying? #321043M HParticipantMy goal is comprehend and embody true love. I wish to become as much like the creator as possible. To learn How to let go of desire for myself and replace it with a desire to give to the creator with intent as well as actions. I wish to have my eyes open and to be able to see the creator in everything.

I do question though. I have had some pretty remarkable synchronicities in the last few years that have brought me to this place of seeking. Without these things happening I may never have arrived at Kab U at all. I had been reading the Old Testament Literally, also the New Testament my whole life and I know it very well, but all of a sudden I began to see verses and meanings that I had been blind too. An example is In Luke 11;52 , Jesus talking to the Scribes and Pharisees . He says. ” Woe to you experts in the law ‘for you have taken away the KEYS of knowledge: you yourselves have not entered in, and those who were entering you have hindered.” That verse caused me to question my understanding of the entire new testament. I still knew that ” Love God and love thy neighbor as they self” Where his most important teachings. I am actually here trying to learn how to do both of those things to the fullest. I see wisdom here and I think you have the KEYS of Knowledge that are spoken of in that verse. I almost feel like I was led here. Yes I know I could make the choice to turn back but that doesn’t seem like a choice to me at this point. I also question about those who have not witnessed or been shown or been influenced in ways that we have. Is that free will ? or have they just not had the events or understandings that prompted me to keep searching ?
May 28, 2023 at 10:22 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: What is freedom and how, by the help of the Reforming Light, can we acquire it? #320983M HParticipantTo choose internality or to choose externality. My understanding is that internality is the long term benefit or cost caused by a choice?? So choosing to seek to become more like the creator even though it may no show benefits right away or not seeking to be nearer to the creator. ? to be honest I am not sure
