Hi Albert,
The readings were very interesting – especially understanding the deeper meanings of the biblical text. I am curious, though I know we are not at this part yet. Does the hidden system of Kabbalistic language of roots and branches apply only to the Torah, or to other parts of the Bible? For example, the exile and rebuilding of the second temple, etc.
If the hidden system of Kabbalistic language of roots and branches are applied, does this mean that the text is all allegorical? Or is there room for elements of historicity to be involved?

The creator’s perspective is that which is helping humanity towards equivalence of form and change from characteristics of egoism to altruism. As others have said; however, this is a state that is difficult to elucidate on without having attained it.

Once the goal is defined, you will continue to refine it to keep yourself perfectly aimed at the target. How would you currently define the goal for which you are studying? #55558Mira BrooksParticipantCurrently, I would define the goal as an understanding about how to rise above my egoistic desires, so that I can become more in harmony with nature and strive to towards correcting the will to receive. This isn’t merely for myself, but also because I wish to be a person of right action in this world by choosing the correct things.
June 21, 2021 at 11:46 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: What is freedom and how, by the help of the Reforming Light, can we acquire it? #54759Mira BrooksParticipantFreedom is what I’ve somehow deeply felt is the desire to see man free from bondage, not only externally, but internally in a sense as well to choose a course – such as acting in harmony with nature. I do feel that through the books, media, and things that we take in, within our environment, we begin to change our views. The reforming light helps us to shift into a will to bestow and help correct our desires. Perhaps then, we can understand more about the path to take and make more conscious choices.
Mira BrooksParticipantThis is something that I feel when I look up at the expanse of blue sky and the beauty and symmetry of nature. Then I think of the contrasting pain in our human world and interactions. Intellectually, I understand that the path of pain can be a teacher and it helps put things in perspective. I feel that the actions of our creator help us to develop, grow, and refine ourselves over time. I remember how much love I feel when I am outdoors and think about the wonder of our world.
June 15, 2021 at 12:41 am EDT in reply to: What was my best experience from the previous course? What do I expect from this course? #54223Mira BrooksParticipantThe first course really helped to lay the foundation of important concepts in Kabbalah. It’s important to understand the core principles first and foremost, and I have a great deal to learn. It was wonderful to learn about concepts such as equivalence of form, bestowal vs the will to receive, and how we can spiritually grow over time. While I have an intellectual grasp of the concepts, I would welcome the opportunity to learn more about the applicability in our life and world, which I think this course will delve more into, from reading the syllabus. I am excited to learn more.
