This course, simply, made me plant my seed and finally feel like I’ve found a field to grow in, more so than any other soil I’ve walked on. I really enjoyed it and the world of Kabbalah is something very fresh and interesting to me. Thanks so much. I have bought the books and shall now take my time trying to understand them.

We connect with the upper world, or above, I clumsily parse, by recognizing the ego, recognizing we are quite incapable of change and very self centered to the point of shame since all we do is in self service – even kind acts are done to receive goody vibes to bloat the ego. In seeing this, we then realize we, alone, cannot change our nature and be more altruistic and, instead, must ask God to help us because only the divine has the ability to alter our nature and guide us towards a less ego centered way of living and into a life of true giving.

These are just rough thoughts, since this is all quite complex for me and it will take my little brain time to properly process it.

    Hello Teacher.

I am from a Christian Background, though I am not Christian, my internal landscape is decorated with Christian ideas and when you talk about this process, in this lesson, I can’t help but draw parables to the story and fall of Satan/Lucifer. The idea of rejecting the light and believing you can give as the creator gives reminds me of this story as lucifer rejected God and believed he could do/give better. Do you think Christian stories like this explain some of these principles your talking about rather than having a literal devil who torments an tempts?

    Warm Regards
    Nick

I think by stopping myself trying to understand and see God in the spiritual world and, instead, trying to see him in my life, in nature and the events of my life has vastly deepened my understand of God and brought my sense of connection closer as it’s now based on evidential occurrences rather than the fantasy of my mind or belief.

I am finding all this information fascinating. While listening to this and you talk about the box that creates reality I couldn’t help but think of the book by Phillip K Dick called VALIS. In that story VALIS (Vast Active Living Intelligence System) is the box that hovers in space and imprisons us in this reality, barring us from the upper worlds. The author was famously an explorer of other worlds  via drugs and mental illness. I wonder now how much his ideas where accurate or at least fantastical descriptions of things also found in Kabbalah.

Just my passing thoughts. Thanks for the lessons. Amazing stuff.
