Understanding the very fundamentally different ways that Kab groups operate from other groups in both motivation and process.
I’m now expecting and hoping to absorb the actual mechanics and get started in a group on a solid foundation!
PaulParticipantI have been inspired by the following insights:
1. Kabbalah is not about being isolationist but about finding an effective way to connect with like-minded others via the right intentions and to lead by serving others and the Creator. There is a double portion to those who take responsibility to help others and I can learn nothing from those I regard as inferior to me.
2. All revelation of the Creator occurs inside me as my spiritual perception evolves and my soul grows.
3. Crossing the barrier into perception of the spiritual worlds will be a profound and obvious experience. I will know when it happens!
4. Kabbalah provides a unique and practical method to solve the world’s problems … by transforming individuals within a supportive spiritual group and building a new way of genuine connection.
I have learned about myself:
1. I have a “natural” tendency to think more easily than feel, & much to transform in the way I relate to the world.
2. I’m very committed to the path of Kab and to live out my final years with meaning and purpose, as defined by my Creator and not the world.
What I hope for my fellow students:
1. We will manage the group interaction process with patience and goodwill towards each other, and take the opportunity feelings of rejection provide to learn more about ourselves versus getting defensive and closing down.
2. That we will form a wonderful connected group, accelerate our personal and group development in the process and learn skills that we can ultimately use more broadly to aid in solving the problems the world faces at every level of society.

How would these many issues be approached differently? #339276PaulParticipantIt is beautiful to contemplate such a state of cooperation and unity! I imagine since our current corporeal reality of 8 billion individuals is now so interconnected at all levels that all problems would need to be addressed holistically, meaning globally, therefore requiring radically new approaches. Clearly we lack the necessary institutions and skills today and the path towards this utopia would require hitting rock-bottom before starting the long and slow transformation to the goal of global unity. Something as fresh & radical as the wisdom of Kabbalah would be needed to speed things up.

1 One who takes responsibility for another receives a double portion
2 It’s okay to be envious of others in group who are more spiritually advanced than me … to want what they have. Also, we can’t receive anything from someone we feel superior to.
3 Prayer is a desire from the heart to close a gap or lack I’m feeling in my closeness with the Creator. The beginning of prayer is activation of the PIH, which I understand is a gift from the Creator.
4 I found the diagram that illustrated the mechanics of prayer very helpful

January 5, 2024 at 2:34 am EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #338663PaulParticipantI think Rosie & Cristie have captured things beautifully! I also think one of the ways we advance spiritually while participating in the Group is to gradually distinguish when we are responding to situations in the group interaction from an egoistic or an altruistic motivation. This clarification helps us to continue this distinction in everyday interactions … and to consciously transition to responding altruistically more often. This expands the impact of the Group dynamic more broadly and helps my spiritual transformation to occur more quickly.
