There is a big difference in what and how to pray and I was so surprise that in Kabbalah to prayer is more an altruistic one far much different from what we usually do. The Kabbalistic way of praying is a way to connect and attract the Upper Force to help us improve things and to also correct ourselves. But there is a requirement for an effectual prayer. We must resemble that force meaning our intention, our desire should be to be in equivalence in form to Him and that is bestowal not for our own pleasure. When our desires are like His, our prayer will be answered for as we say,”like attracts like”.
We can also seek the help of the Upper Force by seeking help to see things through his eyes that we would be able to have the wisdom and understand the Truth behind every challenges we have and reveal his purpose of goodness for us to develop spiritually.
We can only attract the light when we ourselves become like him with the quality of bestowal. Giving help to the others altruistically is loving your friends as yourself giving pleasure to the Creator. Putting yourself as their stepping stone for them to spiritually move forward.
With the intention of giving pleasure to the Creator, we need to keep on studying through our books and with the help of our teachers. Then we go to our laboratory to apply what we have learned. That laboratory is our connection with friends to reveal the Reforming Light to correct our desires. Through the group we can reveal our true intentions outside our ego to be in adhesion to our Creator.
What does transitioning from a self-centered perception of reality to one grounded in altruism entail?
An intention to correct our desires from “self satisfaction” to “Creator’s satisfaction” thru work, study and connection with the group.
Through the wisdom of Kabbalah, I wish to know and realize the true nature of the soul (not on the basis of any religious arguments) and how I can develop and practically use it to give pleasure to the Creator. How to raise a prayer in order to help myself realize that I need to change my will to receive for myself to will to give pleasure to Him.
I am so excited to continue with my studies specially when I read that it is part of the lessons on how to activate the Reforming Light which I have been trying to research on Kabbalahinfo Library. The application of the lessons learned from the previous studies is a very good platform wherein we can develop practically and feel the essence of lessons taken and apply it to ourselves to give pleasure to the Creator.
