What do you hope to attain? #283247Richard LivelyParticipantIn all honesty I came here to learn the blueprint for how the tree of life works, I feel that if i saturate my knowledge of the wisdom of Kabbalah my mind and ego have to stop eventually fighting what is reality. So even though I work hard to study I know I have to wait on the reshimot to happen naturally so I may learn why I am here, and how to perceive what is actually real. This takes time, so here I just expect to learn how the tree and forces work. Specifically I am interested in where to find in the course material exactly what SAG is (I have been told it is basically binah but it was not explained how) and What SAG actually does. I was told this course would explain everything I wanted to know about the tree so here I am. :D. I am learning in my course work though, this course although it started about me is not about me; rather its about us. Understanding how the tree connects us all. I may not understand this correctly but its what I am starting to feel should make sense.

What feelings did it evoke in you? #283240Richard LivelyParticipantI am not sure i can fully understand what it means to “bestow” as i am not even sure if I have “developed a Masach” So i tried to tell myself “I am listening for this to be a pleasure until you, great and wonderful creator”. I kept trying to hold on to that idea and it was suddenly like I had ADHD (which i do not). I could not concentrate on the words, and i kept having different “reshimot” appear. I am sure this is part of the Egoist in me, that is simply battling or rejecting light on a spiritual platform. But without true revelation of what is beyond again I can only assume this is why I could not hold the “intention” i do not truly understand yet. It is possible I could have a screen, or even be in bestowal, but until I have an actual guide to help me understand these sensations i have concluded this again is the brain and the ego working together to rationalize what neither can truly understand without someone who is experienced in such matters to understand such things to help confirm or deny what one feels inside. I would say this is the hardest part about spirituality in general, “we walk by faith” not sight.
Richard LivelyParticipantI am very interesting in receiving more light from the Zohar as I read, it not just become exposed to it. It has been mentioned a few times now in quite a few recommendations when studying the Zohar, that there are 4 introductory books that need to be read to fully grasp and understand what one is reading. I own from this publisher of class text several books concerning this subject. Could you please list the books that are considered by Baal Sulam the ones I need to purchase from the student text section that are considered these 4 introductory books. Because I would very much like to add them to my study and library if at all possible.
Also there is a book by Ba’al Sulam called mastering the ladder still in print. Is it recommended to get this since with Kabu and the education therein it will be understood at some point and keep connecting more and more from the kabbalist writings so that such a connection will be revealed with the writers?
