i asked about this before and i tried to think about it for a while but i want to be more specific about what bothers me. it’s about how laitman wants censorship laws. if we censor people, who and how does one decide what things can be censored and what things can’t be? my main problem is that i can’t stop thinking of how i expected laitman to say something more like “on this level we fight and all the things we do on this level, but that the goal is something above that, that does not change the lower level things.” you know what i mean? why does he think we can’t defend ourselves in this way?
MichaelParticipantdid laitman have a group of ten? and does that mean they all reached the same level? if so where are they?

Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #367933MichaelParticipanti have no idea. i’m very confused. after i study it i tell myself it’s important, but then later i completely forget why. i can’t seem to come up with a way of reminding myself why i should do it.
what are my expectations? i have no idea. i’m just doing it because i remember telling myself to do it.
MichaelParticipanthi. i was watching this video of laitman saying that freedom of speech should be curbed in some way (in agreement with the EU, that’s what he said). and i understand that he’s saying something about freedom itself and the spiritual, and that people should not just shout things (that there’s no real value in that), and that you should not hurt anyone.
but the thing that i wonder since he is siding with a specific law that limits speech, how could anyone do that? freedom of speech is not about wanting to say things, it’s about preventing tyranny. so how could he not understand that?
freedom of speech is also about creating a situation that prevents total destruction, and creates some opportunity in life, because there is no way of dealing with people who think being offended is a reason to attack you. that is the reason for violence in general. that is the reason why anyone gets angry and violent. so from a system perspective, you have to condemn violence, not speech. and you can never have a system that forces us to answer to them. they will take over like terrorists.

to be honest i’m afraid though to find out the real reason why things are bad in this world is me.
MichaelParticipantWhat most inspired me in the course?
1. that there is hope.
What have I learned about myself in the process?
2. that my entire problem is that i thought there wasn’t hope.
What do I wish for my fellow students in their spiritual development?
3. nothing. i’m still too egoistic to care about anyone else but myself. - AuthorReplies
