HI, Gianni & Friends,
My question is about the origins of Kabbalah. I m wondering if in the time of Abraham, people had much less ego we do now ? He broke the idols & had sussed there was only One force of Creation. Then he went into the desert and opened his tent to all comers, telling them about ……..I guess…………. all this ? HOW did he know?  I m guessing again that some of the people who he talked to became his “group of ten “, and then they sussed the rest ?
I’m asking – did the Reforming Light make an exception in his case & respond , so he was able to be guided BEFORE he had fully understood ?
And – this may be my last question here. I d like to thank you, Gianni, as I ve greatly enjoyed our correspondences, and learned so much from you. Blessings !
I ve now completed week 4, so have a different answer than below.
The work we are about to begin, in groups of ten, has a very serious implication & responsibility to it. It means we will be attempting to bring into the open all our “evil inclinations”, and correct them. When as a group we have succeeded in genuinely putting the needs of the whole above our individual egos, THEN, we together attract the reforming light.  At this point, I suspect we will be very different people from who we are now.
We will be Kabbalists, and a small part of the reformation of Adam HaRishon. WOW!
I imagine, as Julian has warned us, it will be a very painful process !  In my small N0n-Violent-Communications group, I ve just undergone exactly this. My personal preview ! And I was SURE I was in the right – until I gave up and went for the over-all intention of compassionate communication.  I m guessing this sort of – nightmare, really, – will be enacted many times over before we as a group arrive at the Reforming Light. And when we ve done it, we’ll KNOW.

This has been a really good course – Thank you, Julian for being such a great instructor.
You have spoken very clearly and taken us through complex changes of view so gracefully that I now have some idea of what sort of thing we will be taking on. It s the most enormous adventure, and one where, although it seems an impossible task, I kinda think that with the right prayers and support, well, something may happen. I ve only the vaguest idea of how this will come about, but then, not knowing allows us to be open to whatever it is. I think we will come to KNOW , and then we’ll have begun the path of the Kabbalist !
The question worries me. I m imagining that the people around me in these forums will be trying to “help” my understanding, & I fear by imposing theirs, and I might find it very uncomfortable – I may not agree with how they see it. I may find it invasive and/or patronizing. Then I have to deal with that ! And I know that is all ego.
When I apply this to the others in my group, I therefore need to be sensitive as to what the person may be feeling and needing. “HELP” may be by NOT diving in with my opinion,& trying to show them my ideas, and allowing the Other to be and express themselves fully, without “ME” trying to correct them. So my best way of helping is possibly to try to keep my ego out of it, and by allowing them their space.

On Sunday 28th November, there was a very interesting & relevant KabU podcaste and Q&A by Marcos & (?).     It s very much in line with where we are at on this course & the next, where we start to practice in our 10, stressing the importance of this work. Ystar-El must be in harmony = our group
I m asking a similar question to sj.  In my everyday life, at the moment, the disharmony around me seems to be escalating, & I m wondering if this has been designed by the Creator to push me towards the group of 10?
If the group can recreate that harmony, is it likely to follow that my everyday life will also get back into balance?
