Pleasure can pass through us endlessly and without limit when we learn the importance of influencing others in a positive way.
Everyone wants love, yet it seems that it is impossible to attain it. True love is that I fulfill the other and not myself. To achieve love, it is necessary to rise above our ego. This can be in couples or with friends. It is necessary to seek love within us, not partners who are appropriate for what we are missing but the desire to love. Love is built from concessions, not from each one coming with demands from the other.
The wisdom of Kabbalah teaches how to relate to others in a balanced way, including one’s spouse. In proper love between spouses and in general, there exists a balance between feelings and intellect. On the one hand, there is love, and on the other hand, there is a limit to revealing that love, a limitation on the giving to others depending on the response of the other side. In order to build a loving connection, we must take the desire of the other and work on fulfilling it, the result of which is aspiring to become one.
