I awoke very early this morning and began considering the Minyan. I wrote something that I believe pertains to this question. I began in considering my own current state. “It’s like living as something other than a bundle of separate desires. It is a state of peace and fulfillment, a state relatively easy to achieve. But is this all? Is this the state of fulfillment of creative purpose? What about the friction felt when bumping about into others? There exists a draw to connect with love and concern for others from which the infinite Life, the opportunity to resolve the friction, and the correction of the ego will fulfill creative purpose. The shattering is real. Correction is not complete without connection and reunification of the shattered parts. I have a thrill in the expectation that through the Minyan there is the opportunity for self-annulment  by immersion in love and concern for others. Bring on the friction and the intimacy! We are indeed One!
December 15, 2022 at 5:24 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Starting a new course in Kabbalah is similar to a fetus moving on to a new trimester. The warm and fulfilling womb is still the same, but the desire and needs of the future human are evolving. Before we start the first week let’s set our expectations. How do we want the womb (Light) to influence and evolve us? What do we desire to achieve in this semester? #306705DavidParticipantWe want the Light to soften and awaken us in preparation for the Minyan. We each want to experience a release of our own separate desires and a cleaving to the Creator that we experience true love and concern only for our friends leaving all concern for self in the dustbin of the unreal.
December 15, 2022 at 4:52 pm EST in reply to: What was my best experience from the previous course? What do I expect from this course? #306704DavidParticipantMy best experience occurred during the last course as I found myself relaxing and surrendering to the Kabbalistic process. From many years of spiritual endeavor I have come to a place where I can imagine myself beyond my actual attainment. My yearning is sincere and committed. I was drawn to Kabbalah and over time have come to see it as a type of finishing school. However, without the minyan I began to have my doubts that I could move further forward, at least at the desired pace. I love the consciousness I have attained but I can honestly, now, accept that there are many steps remaining and I believe Kabbalah offer the method for perceiving the steps and the method for taking the climb. I look forward with a thrill to ending this life of self-centeredness! I love you, my friends!
DavidParticipantWhat inspired me most is the descriptions of the “lab”. I have studied such things for decades both in groups and alone. For many months I have delved deeply into several of the KabU books devouring concept after concept and experiencing many changes. I had put off daily effort in this course while I immersed myself in Kabbalistic thought while my point in the heart grew more and more. But I’ve known for some time that this group of ten was to become essential if I were to fully correct my egoistic nature and were to transform into an altruistic nature. I’ve had a very powerful ego and have for many years hoped to find a path to correct it. It is apparent to me that I have found such a path in Kabbalah. I wish for my fellow students to find themselves immersed in the Light and Love of each other and the Creator.
December 15, 2022 at 7:47 am EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Imagine if people were connected according to the spiritual law of love. How would these many issues be approached differently? #306674DavidParticipantIn recognition that we are each other, the admonition, “Love thy neighbor as thyself,” will be a reality and intentions in interrelationships will transform from a ‘taking from’ to a ‘sharing with’ the whole. People will more readily understand what that whole actually is.
December 14, 2022 at 11:36 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #306650DavidParticipantFirst we recognize the others to be ourselves and we remain open to every input with love and respect and find great opportunity in the relationships since we are all there with an awakened point in the heart.  We help the others by holding their highest good in our thoughts and prayers.  By this way of being with each other, we are attracting the light that reforms in a manner that exceeds individual  effort and leads to a greater altruism, or equivalence of form with the Creator.
