Remember, the main Mitzva, which includes all the others, is to love your friend as yourself. That’s why Rabash goes to such lengths to detail what that entails. It’s in the heart but also in all its corporeal expressions in the group.
There are a few other actions as you know, but not so many, that one can choose to keep, if he feels that he wants to complete the action at the corporeal branch. For example there is an action of Zeir Anpin that is symbolized by the wrapping of the Tefilin.
