Faith is used in several ways in Kabbalah. There is faith below reason, which is the ordinary religious definition: I believe because it’s what I was told. It’s not that I was told by someone who knows from their experience. There is also faith in the sages, which is that I follow the experience of one who personally attained the Creator. And finally there is faith above reason, which is bestowal that is called above reason because I attain bestowal above my quality of reception, called reason.
We always say study where your heart desires. But I think if you want to learn the whole system quickly and then open it up more deeply from there, the Blueprint of Creation course does that. But there’s immeasurably more depth of feeling in Rav’s lessons, and the understanding ultimately comes from the feeling, the Reforming Light working. I would always rather learn from Rav. I think the Light teaches and the Light in Rav’s lessons is something serious. Those lessons are likely to require more time though, like a minimum of 5-10x the time. In the end, you have to learn this stuff from a higher source. The question is whether, in the middle, you want the Blueprint of Creation course as an on-ramp.
Aside from just the Light working, you want to sort of have these matters sit in your box, as a system. This way, you can orient yourself better toward, say, The Study of the Ten Sefirot, and so your demand for the Light may be stronger during the study.
