One part of how I understand freedom in this moment is the ability to be conscious of ourselves and our actions/circumstances and to choose the internal attitude we take towards what happens in the external world. Becoming able to perceive and receive more of the Reforming Light gives us the ability to make these choices.
In the context of watching the video with the teaching and then reading the statement, I feel connected with the aim of valuing the Creator’s force, the intention of bestowal and giving, far above any other thing. I can feel that that force is the beautiful and good part inside every thing and situation in the world, and then we can connect to everything by connecting to that part and working on ourselves to become more like it.
The teaching that I remember resonated most clearly with me was the story of the host and the supper he had prepared for his friend. I found it a very clear and beautiful way to express a way to live and generate intentions with an unselfish intent, aimed towards the good of others and the whole. I also related to the teaching of mitzvot, the way to strive to transform every day self-centered actions by finding the will of the Creator for us in each of them and which parts of those situations and actions that it’s our responsibility to work on and transform.
I expect in the coming course to build a deeper understanding and connection with the Bnei Baruch tradition and Kabbalah and to encounter more mitzvot opportunities through this work.
By recognizing the quality of the higher force within all that we received through life and striving to emulate and acquire that quality of bestowal ourselves. By being of service to other human beings around us and following our conscience.
That each one of us may  be granted strength and humility to transform each one of life’s challenges and blessings into an opportunity for spiritual growth.
The start of this course has opened up my awareness somewhat from the everyday physical-only reality- this is not constant but each experience is valuable if somewhat frightening sometimes. It was difficult for me to deal with these topics and lectures sometimes but persisting through them in a methodical manner helped me gain more appreciation and experience of persistence and patience when following an aim.
