We cannot choose what happens outside, and we cannot choose what desires arise inside. All we can choose is whether to follow our base, animal, egoic desires, or to follow the desire for God, the desire for truth, the desire of the point in the heart. Our desire will always drive us, whether we resist that or not. What we can choose is whether we pursue the desire that drives us down the path of pain, or the desire that drives us along the path of Light.
No matter what is happening outside of me, no matter what desire is arising inside of me, it is pivotal to understand – all of that comes from the Creator on the basis of what is needed for the ultimate correction of my desire. From that understanding, I shift my intention from receiving something specific for my own relief or pleasure, to receiving everything that’s happening, inside and out, for the pleasure of the Creator. I shift to the intention to bring pleasure to the creator by receiving Him as fully as possible. I think, “if the Creator will receive pleasure by filling my cup, then let my cup runneth over.” I shift from trying to derive pleasure from the limited desires I’ve grown attached to…and shift to openly receiving all that is before me to receive, if that is what pleases He who gives.
By actively working to understand the nature of the Creator and to adopt the Creator’s values as our own; to develop the same desire as the Creator.
May you all make your unconscious patterns of thought and behaviour conscious so that you can stop driving those patterns. May you all realize the state of being beyond our conditioned desires. May you all know the truth of reality directly, unfiltered by conditioning.
I have gained the understanding that I must release my conditioned, limiting patterns of thought and behaviour in order to proceed spiritually.
