The warm and fulfilling womb is still the same, but the desire and needs of the future human are evolving. Before we start the first week let’s set our expectations. How do we want the womb (Light) to influence and evolve us? What do we desire to achieve in this semester? #292542katyParticipant
I deeply desire to increase in my desire for the Light. I desire to see the others in the group grow greater than myself on this path and I desire the ability to see them as such with the appropriate jealousy to want to ascend with them.

What do I expect from this course? #292532katyParticipantBeginning to understand fingerprint in the fabric of everything from the Creator who can actually be accessed through the group. Hearing terminology that support spiritual development in a non-superficial way has been super impactful for me
June 22, 2022 at 10:18 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #292352katyParticipantFor me, a key component in this process is to learn how to receive criticism. Learning to hear the voice of a friend as the voice of the creator is a strange concept to me… I have always considered Job’s friends and they’re misunderstanding of his being tested. That being said, I come from a dance background where criticism is actually a compliment on one’s potential to improve. Without a community there is no real conflict to push us forward. Without community there is no opportunity for criticism. Without community we would lose the opportunity to actually begin to love our neighbor as ourselves and all that comes with that. In the verse citing this love, the Shema, joined with the idea of loving your neighbor as yourself is also loving the creator with all of our heart, mind, and strength… In my mind they must be intrinsically tied principles. To love the creator I must love others. To love others I must be able to accept and love myself.

How do we amplify its transformative influence? #291482katyParticipantIt seems that what you focus on increases. If I focus on my ego, even on trying to quiet it, it increases. If I focus my time on curiosity for the Light and on trying to truly feel what it means to love the other as myself, then that will increase to become instinctual.
June 10, 2022 at 4:47 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: What does transitioning from a self-centered perception of reality to one grounded in altruism entail? #291231katyParticipantSeems I cannot properly answer this based on my perception still being from an egoistic one, but if I were to say what I hope to achieve… it’s to see none else besides Him. All things, even those things that are hard, are for my benefit
June 9, 2022 at 6:35 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Congratulations on progressing through the intermediary stages of your Kabbalah learning by staring this new course! Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #291205katyParticipantI would like to be able to see others as not separate from myself. To be able to love them through the force of bestowal instead of my will to receive only. I would also like to have a clearer understanding of how the Creator and nature can be considered the same. Obviously we aren’t workshopping trees and dirt, so I am hoping to gain clarity perhaps of the terms or maybe the very concept itself
