The necessary progression to connection. Understood. The practicalities however leave me with, not doubt exactly but uneasiness on connection with those of other faiths, languages etc. I keep getting the feeling of the magnets with similar poles facing each other and can feel myself being launched into isolation where there is just me and my dog. The importance of connection for the sake of all creation however overrides my natural cautious approach in this world and realise that on my own I’m not going anywhere positive even with my dog. I need some help from the creator. The possibility of rising above my egotistic approach to a degree of altruism is a desire and much to do with why I am here. It will be interesting to see how all of us get on.

How do we amplify its transformative influence? #333040martinParticipantkabbalistic texts and Torah is my understanding of the initial attraction of the light. Expanding that by our books, teacher and groups I am hoping will strengthen the influence on the ego and necessary corrections. The work of the lab sounds quite scary but the idea of advancement on the straighter and less painful route to equivalence  of form with our friends and creator is certainly attractive. Time will tell, looking forward to the challenge.

Mine, or what’s left of it, went off like a cracker. Coffee went flying had to get another one. Like Myva it was Dr Laitman’s response to is there a God with a resounding NO! It’s just as well I listened to the remainder of the video as it put that statement into perfect context. It’s so easy to get captivated by our limited perception of reality in this world, a simulation of upper reality, where even a glimpse gives a different and mesmerising perspective. I am wondering what more than a mere glimpse might reveal?
October 8, 2023 at 11:08 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: What does transitioning from a self-centered perception of reality to one grounded in altruism entail? #332426martinParticipantIt would be the first steps of our intended connection not just to our immediate contacts but to those we don’t know yet. An awakening of our corporate responsibility through our intentions for the welfare of everyone. Looking at the devastating news from Israel as I write, this altruistic seismic change in attitude can’t come soon enough.

But you have also shed light on the possibility of becoming a diamond. I know that if you compress carbon with high energy a diamond will emerge. I don’t have much of a desire to be one of those sparkly ones, adorning some spoilt puppies collar. Far too precocious and visible. An industrial diamond, not pretty at all, but useful in all sorts of applications and indestructible under most circumstances. A much better fit I think.
October 2, 2023 at 5:49 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Congratulations on progressing through the intermediary stages of your Kabbalah learning by staring this new course! Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #331928martinParticipantAs someone who was educated mostly in the sciences I like to understand things. When it comes to doing these things, well not so good at that. I have realised in teaching that hearsay evidence is not worth much, better to have lived it. So I am expecting this next phase to be a challenge, out of my comfort zone so-to-speak. This is what makes the thought so exciting, onward and upward to being a more complete caring human being. That’s the plan anyway.
