It is a alternating process of failing to hit the mark and take aiming high again. We can not correct ourselves since all action takes place in the upper worlds. We can – and precisely in this conssts the work be mindful about our thoughts, emotions and reactions. And consequently ask ourselves if they are moving us towards more connection or away from it. That way we can measure how far we lag behind our ideal, and how intermittent our love for our friends is. Joining a genuine spiritual community like this of course is an invaluable spiritual safeguard where one can ask questions and untangle all the confusion that bemuddle a spiritual seeker. By seeking connection in our group and everyday environment we draw the reforming light that then performs the actual change. Our part being the grateful observer of the healing process both in our inner and outer world.
October 22, 2023 at 1:57 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: In Kabbalah, our primary task is to draw the reforming light, which supplies all we require for spiritual progress. Moreover, it’s said that aiding others accelerates our own spiritual ascent. How does this dynamic operate? What does supporting fellow seekers with a spiritual inclination entail? #333338patrick diederichParticipantLike finally coming home.
patrick diederichParticipantIt helps us to feel more connected, to enlarge our perspective of who we are, to become more loving and tolerant. By being more aware of our attitude towards others and ourselves we become humbler and accepting of what is. As we develop our desire to help others we resonnate more with our sourroundings. We may well encounter less obstacles to our ‘altruistic’ projects, or face less animosity towards ourselves. As we observe the world change we introspect and see where we would like to amend our oulook on the world. It seems gradually more plausible that our perception of the world around us is truly a projection of our limited ego-mind. Of course we can not grasp the exact way in which we distort reality, but every time we uncover a delusion it fills us not with shame but relief. Deconstructing our reality tunnel lets the surrounding light filter through. As we peep through the cracks of our shattered belief system we start to see for ourselves that there is a larger reality looming out there, or rather in ourselves. In any case our desire to communicate our experiences and observations in a concise and clear manner will grow. The effort to do so may fail at times, but as we persevere in our effort to convey our love for life that feeling becomes more concrete, making it easier for us to grasp our aim more firmly. Daily practice hones the skill, perseverance eventually leads to longer flow states of joy, inspiration and communicability. Time thus starts to work in favour of us. With the help of a congenial community the spiritual way of expressing the message of love and unity opens up. Thank you for providing a safe space for practicing to open up and start speaking our heart.
October 9, 2023 at 11:50 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: What does it mean to connect with others? In what desire are we connected? #332514patrick diederichParticipantIt means to feel  empathy for others. To be really interested that the other person makes progress towards a state of peace and plenitude. Connection arises from a genuine desire to understand and be able to help our fellow in his search for his true Self. Connection is a flow state , one acts spontaneously yet tactfully and without erring..  Instead of judging we understand expand our own sense of Self.
October 4, 2023 at 4:17 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Starting a new course in Kabbalah is similar to a fetus moving on to a new trimester. The warm and fulfilling womb is still the same, but the desire and needs of the future human are evolving. Before we start the first week let’s set our expectations. How do we want the womb (Light) to influence and evolve us? What do we desire to achieve in this semester? #332097patrick diederichParticipantI want to awaken my sense of perceiving the upper force. I am eager to learn how to become truly compassionate and humble enough to perceive the beauty of all that surrounds me. To learn gratitude and trust by connecting with others. To become more trustworthy myself. That the group will help me shed light into my outmoded ways of sensing and that I will get a better grasp of how to progress. Finally to be able to be of help to others so that they will find the wider, deper life I aspire to.
October 2, 2023 at 3:46 pm EDT in reply to: What was my best experience from the previous course? What do I expect from this course? #331979patrick diederichParticipantI pondered a lot over the meaning and implications of the (previous) course material. Then during my day to day life many events occurred that I interpreted quite differently than before taking the classes. I feel I have made some progress in making myself understood and that my ability to listen and ‘get’ my interlocutor’s point of view has aslo increased. I also experienced some situations where I clearly missed the mark I aimed for… I however did not let the realization of my shortcomings let me drag down- not this time! I was rather glad to discover more precisely where I really am at, as this insight allows me to improve my game. From the present course I hope to attain more clarity about how Kabbalah works as a method. I also am very eager to engage myself more personally in the study group.
