I like the idea of spiritual progress through feeling connected. I feel a strong desire to heal my mind by adopting a more open attitude. By shifting my awareness more towards understanding and sensing the desires and needs of my fellow humans I learn to adopt a different, more inclusive sense of Self. I wish all my fellow students a lot of joy and excitement during the process of selfdiscovery. We are all one. I would like to live that thought, to give it substance, to sense it and finally live and experience it to the fullest. That would be empowering and beautiful.

Write a few words about yourself and about what you expect from the course. #331897patrick diederichParticipantHello, I am Patrick. I have always been wondering about the influence of Kabbalah on western culture. So I am very glad to have found this study group. Looking forward the lessons, wish you all a lot of fun with your studies and exchanging!
patrick diederichParticipantI like the idea that we are all united as one, and that each one of us is also a small world by himself, ie a fractal of humanity as a whole. I was also very excited to hear about the role kabbalalists play in the cultural history of the west. I suspected this for a long time but lacked the perseverance to investigate this historical enigma in a more thorough way. I also enjoyed reading the thoughts of my fellow students and wish them a strong desire for self-improvement and a lot of perseverance in pursuing their spiritual goal. May you all find the path beautiful and interesting to follow. May you find the peace you long for yourself and the world.

How would these many issues be approached differently? #331612patrick diederichParticipantA lot of conflicts arise because nobody is able to really listen and feel himself into the position of his interlocutor. By being genuinely interested into understanding the whole picture of a given issue we become better able to diagnose the root causes of conflict. Instead of arguing and negotiating we could built bridges and move on. The exchanges between people would become genuinely sincere and good willed. Mutual trust would develop and deepen. People would intuitively start to notice deceit and adress it bravely. A new sense of honesty and integrity would start to permeate the deaings between people. Optimism and trust would flourish again.
September 26, 2023 at 1:58 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: What does transitioning from a self-centered perception of reality to one grounded in altruism entail? #331604patrick diederichParticipantit would be a liberation, a tremenduous gain of energy and happiness. As the compulsive ruminations of the egominfd become a memory we will become able to feel more compassionate. By feeling the unity between all we become less fearful and spent less time worrying and anticipating problems. By becoming trustful we can live more in the present moment, which will make us feel more relaxed and aware. So we become more intuitive and can spontaneously translate our loving awareness into action. This  will certainly help our desire for bestowal, which will grow more authentic and deeply rooted. So we can slowly edge forward our goal to live permanently in a peaceful state of flove. Then sharing will become natural and flow like water. During the process more and more good willed and like minded people will join and connect, thus uplifting each other and furthering the mutual progress of the group.
September 19, 2023 at 3:43 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #331210patrick diederichParticipantNo man is an island. So no wonder that at some point a solitary quest for spiritual attainment will get us no further. By opening up to others we get the information we need to advance. In such a state of openess we can not but also be of help to others. By connecting we connect to a higher level of consciousness, we draw the right inspiration, the one that will enable us to progress effortlessly. We guide each other by following the light we attract by our loving attitude and acceptance of each other and ourselves. This loving humbleness is elevating, it fills what is empty and grows our desire to give and share our cup of joy.
