I really enjoyed the first two semesters of Kabbalahrevealed, as it has offered a foundation in knowledge and provided the tools necessary to begin deeper study into Kabbalah. I expect that this course will continue to develop and deepen my experience with Kabbalah study. For me these studies represent a methodology for working in spirituality as I endeavor to achieve equivalence of form with the G-d.

Philip Iyov EcksParticipant1) It is the simplicity of this Kabbalah study that has inspired me. All my life I have encountered religions and philosophies that had a great number of rules and methods to achieve the things they teach and in all cases I found endless contradictions. Kabbalah has but one goal, one method, one rule, “love thy neighbour as yourself”, beautiful!
2) That I am so far away from the goal and that the things in life I felt were important are simply not. There is much I need to unlearn as there is just as much to discover and the study of Kabbalah is showing me the path and the method to accomplish both. I have a lot of work to do.
3) I pray and wish for thier success so that in doing so I may also be elevated and learn how to grow with the other’s in a meaningful manner as we all progress towards ‘loving thy neighbour…’ and helping to complete the correction for all.

Religion has always seemed to me to be a methodology or life style that people lived in an effort to ‘bind’ or ‘tie’, or re-untie with the G-d. From this perspective can we say that Kabbalah is also a Religion in as much as that it is or seems so to be a methodology of life which is designed to assist one in re-uniting and cleaving unto the G-d, or to bind with or tie to, achieving equivalence of form with the Creator?

November 11, 2024 at 12:31 am EST in reply to: Preparation Question: The importance of clearly defining the goal in the study of Kabbalah is the beginning of the path. Once the goal is defined, you will continue to refine it to keep yourself perfectly aimed at the target. How would you currently define the goal for which you are studying? #399044Philip Iyov EcksParticipantSince I was a boy, I have always felt that the purpose of this life was to search and discover the true wisdom of the G-d. In so doing I believed I would be able to transcend this world of illusion and find true freedom and peace through my discovery of what the G-d wills for me. If I could find this wisdom, and cleave unto the Lord, then I would be blessed to inherit the G-d’s creative nature and be permitted to participate in the G-d’s ongoing creation of existence and being. I have been learning through these studies in Kabbalah, that although I misunderstood much throughout this endeavor, some of the insight I seemed to have had, has lead me into the study of Kabbalah today. I have always felt that the world of spirit was the reality and the true way of living, while this horrible place was nothing short of hell. There is so much I need to un-learn, and so much more to learn, and I believe I have found the gateway to this wonderful end…Kabbalah!

I have believed in this possibility since I was 13 years old. Despite what I was taught in Christian churches, I always felt that enlightenment and perfection in spirituality could be completed in a single lifetime. Very interesting indeed.

Once I can let go of this attachment to the material and embrace the will of G-d; becoming one with him, rising above my egoism and achieving a state of equivalence of form with the G-d, then my time in this material reality will conclude, I will no longer need to return here and this for me is true freedom.
