Prudence,
From our perspective there certainly are what seem like forces standing between us and the Creator.
Let’s use an airplane as an example.  It is a giant piece of metal and plastic that weighs a few hundred thousand pounds, now we need it to get up in the air and fly.  So from the one side, that seems impossible, but if we understand how to work with the forces, then it becomes possible.
So for sure there is gravity and for sure we have a lot of weight and if I try to lift the plane every day for the rest of my life it is not going to budge, but if I learn the laws of nature, I can work with the forces and fly.

I’m given a group who is with me on the path and we are all studying and drawing the reforming light together from the books and in the lessons and in our work between us I am always calibrating and measuring how I am judging and measuring all of them according to my ego, which is naturally how I am built and then where I can make efforts to rise above each time, to actually love.
By this we rise higher and higher.

This is in your hands.
We are are studying from the books of the kabbalists who attained the spiritual degrees that we are striving to attain.  This is how it is with any craft or trade that one becomes a master in.  First he must study it, learn what it is, what it is made of, how it works, to eventually feel it in his bones.
So it’s up to you how much you want to invest to go with the author on his degree.
There is no coercion in this.

We are made up of different degrees.  We must eat and have family and shelter, this is natural and this is not something that is praised or condemned, this is called necessity.
And in this world, we live like everyone else.  A home.  Maybe its an apartment or maybe it is a beach house.
We are not talking about how each person lives.  First we are talking about step by step learning about the system that we are living in, what forces are operating us and how to come into harmony with the system.
Later we will understand how to conduct ourselves in the world, but the most important for us now is how we develop our heart and mind.

Creation, meaning everything and everything is made of the same stuff.
Everything is made out of the desire to receive.  From the smallest particle to the human being and every plant and animal in between, we all desire life force to live and be sustained.

We can all be 100% certain that our egos are deceiving us.
If we perceive a spiritual reality, we feel the others as ourselves, we feel that there is no individual me in the spiritual reality, I’m connected to the others in a special condition and we are all connected in other relations of circles with other groups.
As long as we feel ourselves as individuals, it is a sign that the ego is still ruling over us.
Yes, the kabbalists call it corrections.  A new ego is added and then the Light of the Torah corrects it and we rise to the next degree.
