WilsonParticipantWhat does it mean to connect with others?
We are already connected. Connecting with others means becoming aware of the deeper connection that already exists and consciously choosing to place one’s attention on this connection.
In what desire are we connected?
This is a deep question. Are we truly connected by desire? If so, it would most certainly be the desire given to us by the Creator.  Kabbalah says we were all created with a desire to receive and that we are learning to be like the Creator by building a desire to receive in order to bestow.
It feels like all expressions of desire have reception and bestowal as their root but in varying degrees. After much contemplation, I don’t think I am ready to answer this question yet.
June 9, 2026 at 5:05 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Starting a new course in Kabbalah is similar to a fetus moving on to a new trimester. The warm and fulfilling womb is still the same, but the desire and needs of the future human are evolving. Before we start the first week let’s set our expectations. How do we want the womb (Light) to influence and evolve us? What do we desire to achieve in this semester? #502569
WilsonParticipantI want to continue drawing the light that reforms through my study of Kabbalah and my interactions with other students and teachers. Â I want to learn more about the 10 and start participating in such a group.

WilsonParticipantMy best experience from the previous course was the Q&A session with Julian. Â I really enjoyed coming together with the other students and being able to interact with the instructor in real time. Â I also learned even more through listening to the questions posed by other students.
From this course, I am hoping to learn more about the structure and function of a group of 10. Â I am also excited for the upcoming workshop and to begin working in a group with other students.
WilsonParticipantWhat most inspired me in the course?
I enjoyed learning a little bit more about the history of Kabbalah. What have I learned about myself in the process?
There is a logical aspect of the ego that is constantly fact-checking. This aspect is useful in the corporeal but may slow things down in spiritual development if it is allowed to run the show. What do I wish for my fellow students in their spiritual development?
I hope my fellow students can remain open to the personal insights that will most likely arise when we begin a more interactive group study.June 1, 2026 at 7:37 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Imagine if people were connected according to the spiritual law of love. How would these many issues be approached differently? #501635
WilsonParticipantI think the biggest change would be in our intention towards other people. We would approach all situations with an awareness of our impact on others and a desire to benefit them first. If people approach life with this intention, all needs will be met, and we will be able to thrive as both individuals and a species.
May 25, 2026 at 1:37 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #501236
WilsonParticipantTruthfully, I don’t know what this looks like at this point.  I understand that we are to be there for the friends in their spiritual development but I don’t know how personal this arrangement will be or what it entails.
Will we be discussing things which we are encountering in our everyday lives or restricting our discussions to kabbalistic texts?  How much of our time, energy and attention will be committed to the group work?  I’m excited to find out more but also a little concerned that I won’t be able to do a good job of it with a very busy work and family life.  I will do my best.
