Once the goal is defined, you will continue to refine it to keep yourself perfectly aimed at the target. How would you currently define the goal for which you are studying? #495313

ParticipantI think deep down the goal ive been carrying is a form of self protection/preservation in the way of, wanting kabbalah to make me bulletproof from emotinal unease, wanting to become confident and all have all thses charactertraits that is deemed good and strong “attractive” in this world, i do have a desire to be unified woth the creaotr that seems beutifull to have that presenece but themain driving force is the first mentioned currently

ParticipantMy takeaway from this week is to create a spiritual environment and that this will help us achieve freedom.. Didn’t understand more. But no one in my vesinkty practices kabbalah, I go to church so I’m being exposed to simular ideas about being self sacrificing and giving without getting back… But idk if that’s enough

Participantdoes Correction/correcting the desire in any given momemnt basically mean ” I want to do x…but can i do it for the sake of the creator?” i.e i will help my neighbor for the sake of the creator, i will forgive them for the sake of the creator, i will accept this gift and share it for the sake of the creator”
“Hence, one’s primary exertion should be to acquire a force that feels taste in bestowing, which is through lessening the force that feels taste in self-reception. In that state one slowly acquires the taste in bestowing”
is the way to lessen the taste/desire of self recption by thinking in the manner mentioned above(for the sake of the creaor) or is there a specfic way we do this wich then leads to increased space for the taste/desire of bestowal?

ParticipantTo add on to her question, i also had the thought that i shuld want to recive becuase something will give me pleausr becasue my pleasuer is like an extention of the creators pleasuer…so dose that mean that eating a nice meal will become bestowing on the creator or is that to selfish ?

Participant*I thught i already asked about this but i think i dint so no need to make 2 responses if youve seen this question already*
There was a qoute about being in equivalance of form and that part of this is to not think of yoursefl, (exept your basic survival and living needs) how does this relate to our human relations, family, friends, spouse, etc emotional attatchments with people, i am a person that fears loss of connection with people, i struggle with fear of being walked away from and seen as not good enough or not a good friend or partner etc…I hate dissapointing people and it feels scary when they seem like theyre gonna leave…but im not supposed to think about myself…at all? should i even try to preserve or maintain my relationships in life, especially when they are about to change or disconnect? I want to know what mindset is right to have in such matters
