Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #498223

ParticipantI had a question about bestowal, I guess it’s sort of answered here? The texts speaks about giving up reception for pleasure to choose complete bestowal and changing our actions that reflect reception but I feel confused because I think I read in previous weeks that it’s not about the physical actions but about intention. I. E it’s not about giving to the homeless, but then again we need to have actions that reflect bestowal?

ParticipantI know i already asked some questions but i wanted to share, last couple days have been challengeing for my ego, where ive felt like people do me wrong, and certain things are unfair and unneccacary, like something always need to happen and go wrong(even though these are not monumental things) I assume the reasonfor my displeasure has been bc of my desire to recive pleasure through these circumstances and i felt/percived that i wasnt getting that pleasure at the time.
My only problem is how do we balance actually dealing wtih other people and knowing when to actually say “hey i didnt appreciat that abehaviour/ tone/treatment” vs saying “okay this is just my ego nature filtering this situation making me think this situatuion is an attack against me/this is personal. No need to make a deal of it. I feel like the ladder rewspons is more in line with the idea of everything being something good from the creator, and if i act on the first example im basically saying “i dont belive this was good and from you HAshem” (because why then would i dislike what happened and want the person to stop doing so?

ParticipantTo see life as a place where you can give pleaser to the creator through his creation instead of a place where you can take/recive (except basic needs)
