Hence, I shall remind you of the power of love of friends, especially at this time, as upon this depends our right to exist, and by that is our near success measured.

By arranging the many sparks of holiness in each Friend, with love and friendship, you assemble all sparks into one place. Hence, you will certainly have a very high level of holiness from the light of life.

I look at one tiny dot, called “love of others,” and I think about it: What can I do in order to benefit people? As I look at the general public, I see the suffering of individuals, illnesses and pains, and the suffering of individuals inflicted by the collective, meaning wars among nations. And besides prayer, there is nothing to give.

It is written, “And the people encamped, as one man with one heart.” This means that they all had one goal, which is to benefit the Creator.

When one overcomes all the hardships and the disturbances, one is not easily repelled. And if one overcomes even the mighty hand and does not want to move from the place of Kedusha whatsoever, but wants to adhere specifically to Him in truth, and sees that he is repelled, then one says that fury is poured out on him.

One must always try and adhere to the Creator, namely that all his thoughts will be about Him. That is to say, even if he is in the worst state, from which there cannot be a greater decline, he should not leave His domain, namely that there is another authority that prevents him from entering the Kedusha [holiness], that can bring benefit or harm.

Each one of them fills his or her role in service of the public in the best way, albeit without seeing it, since public opinion presses a person even secretly, to the point where one feels that deceiving society by mistake is as grave as killing a human being by mistake.

A person should work only for the Creator, meaning without any reward. This means that he is ready for complete devotion without any reward, without any return being born out of his devotion.

Each friend should try to bring the spirit of life, instill hope and infuse energy to the society. In these actions the society will fill him with life, hope, confidence and strength, since he now feels he can achieve wholeness through the power of encouragement in the society.

Friction of hearts connecting elicits warmth, which causes sparks of love to surround them both and unite two into one. Joy and pleasure immediately awaken in him for his friend when he discovers that his friend cares for him, then he can no longer care for himself.
