Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #367444N/aParticipant
To develop a deep understanding of how to apply Kabbalah to daily life.
March 24, 2024 at 10:42 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Starting a new course in Kabbalah is similar to a fetus moving on to a new trimester. The warm and fulfilling womb is still the same, but the desire and needs of the future human are evolving. Before we start the first week let’s set our expectations. How do we want the womb (Light) to influence and evolve us? What do we desire to achieve in this semester? #365835N/aParticipantI want the reforming light to teach me how to understand another person’s intentions so that I can use my Kli to bestow to the other person.
March 24, 2024 at 10:35 am EDT in reply to: What was my best experience from the previous course? What do I expect from this course? #365832N/aParticipantI really enjoyed learning about the practical application of Kabbalah in everyday life and the way we can use our ego with the correct intention to connect with each other.
N/aParticipantI think the most profound aspect of this course is in realizing that the world I see comes from within; that all objects I see have no value and meaning in of themselves and that it is I who provides these things with their meaning and value based on the way I want to use them to satisfy my own needs; and that the world I see is basically a reflection of my own desires and that these desires derive from a perception that I am lacking and deprived and that I need to acquire or attain things from the world to fill this perceived void within. I am therefore not seeing things for what they are in truth. I am seeing a reflection of my own desires in them, and it is my desires in them which draws me towards others, which is a direct function of the way I have judged myself.
The truth is that I am a direct product of the Upper Light. I am begotten of the Upper Light. I am its offspring. The Upper Light is the source of life within me, and is the source of my fulfilment, satisfaction and overwhelming sense of abundance. I simply need nothing else. I do not need to make gifts to myself to render myself whole and complete, which would only put me at right angles with life. There is no justification for my sense of insecurity. Now that I know this, my only desire is to see my brothers and sisters for who they are in truth: a reflection of my own essence. I also now know they are afflicted with this same visual impairment and that I need not take anything personally, because they are not really seeing and directing their anger at me. They are simply staring at a reflection of their own guilt. My only desire, therefore, is to absorb the desires of my brothers and sisters as my own for the sake of providing each other peace through holy union.
March 18, 2024 at 11:15 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Imagine if people were connected according to the spiritual law of love. How would these many issues be approached differently? #365083N/aParticipantThe ultimate goal is to arrive at a state of peace. It is necessary for me to understand myself and my true nature to know that I am whole and complete and in need of nothing in order to arrive at a state of peace. Peace does not come from wanting anything from outside of myself. Peace comes from knowing I need nothing at all, and so I stop looking to find ways to feel good about myself by making gifts to myself. My only desire, therefore, is to keep and extend my peace onto the world by understanding my brother’s intention and to remain in union with him by providing him with the fulfilment and satisfaction he is looking to receive from me. My only concern is to remain in union with my brother for the sake of our peace, and I can only do this by receiving the desires of my brother and making them my own in order to bestow to him. Peace is my goal, and using my vessel of reception to bestow to my brother is the way in which we both arrive at a state of peace. To receive is the highest level of humanity.
March 11, 2024 at 9:47 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Our entire work in Kabbalah is only to attract the light that reforms. By this we receive everything we need for our advancement. Furthermore, I’m told that if I will help the others, I will advance myself even more towards spirituality. How does this work? What does it mean to help the others, those with the point in the heart, on the spiritual path? #364382N/aParticipantMy only intention when helping others is to give them my peace. I do this by incorporating their desires as my own so that we can remain in union through a single unifying thought. In this way, the intention is to use my vessel of reception to bestow for the sake of peace.
