May we all go onwards and together toward our goal of achieving equivalence of form with our Creator.

Are there ways of meditating or contemplation that will help? I find that doing good for others becomes more and more natural and compelling. I cant walk away without helping in some small way, even if I cant give something, I give a little prayer or feeling of compassion. What more can I do? How to I prevent my sadness for the suffering of others from causing harm to myself, due to my own distress? I feel like I am discovering that “ignorance is bliss”, in the sense that awareness of my fellow man and his suffering is very painful and distressing, if I can only do the meagre bit that I can for them. The way back is difficult. Does this mean I am on the path of suffering? Since I cant yet see the light…
December 26, 2023 at 3:20 am EST in reply to: Preparation Question: In what way have I gained a deeper understanding of my life and of the forces working in the world? #338012James RyanParticipantThere is a growing awareness of the distance between me and my creator. That I represent a tiny sliver of the the One Soul (Adam Harishon) and that my purpose is to make my way back up to the spiritual abode, via 125 steps. This is to return to a state of unity and togetherness with the creator. That Kabbalah provides me the method to attain this. That I have access to 5 senses that allow me to navigate this world, which is a perception created in my mind. I have also been given a “6th sense”, a point in the heart, that will allow me to evolve and gain equivalence of form with the creator. My existence is in the corporeal world, which has a barrier to the 5 spiritual worlds. through which my soul has descended after the shattering of the “oversoul”. My desire to receive will become more like bestowal and get closer over time to be like the creators pure bestowal. I don’t know the method and I don’t fully understand all the terms and the way it works. All I know is that I have a deep yearning in my heart to learn and understand this wisdom. I deeply desire to receive this wisdom and I am impatient to attain it.

Our senses and brain translate reality into a “dream world” we can cope with, in accordance with our own previous experiences. We would be stuck in this loop, if not for “the point in the heart” which gradually awakens us to the truth.

Is the desire to bestow something that can be felt, beyond the normal feelings of compassion or sympathy for others in need? How does this translate into a 6th sense?
December 17, 2023 at 1:14 pm EST in reply to: Preparation Question: To what perception of reality do we want the study of Kabbalah to lead us? #337264James RyanParticipantWe want to know reality as it is and not our own interpretation.
