The Quality of the Wisdom of the Hidden in General – Articles – Baal HaSulam

Therefore, you will see that the majority of the learned ones, as soon as they have completed their learning and can enjoy the fruits of their work, abandon the study and go out to trade with the people and be rewarded. But the minority restrain themselves and continue to learn, each according to one’s own talents. It is so because they want to receive a greater reward, such as to be among the greatest in the generation or be innovators. Naturally, after some time their peers become very jealous of them.

I chose this excerpt because it gives me inspiration to not be satisfied and continue the study.

Lesson 5 – The connection between us

What did I take from the lesson?

It is very important to have the right attitude towards friends so that they can influence me in a good way and that I must do the same for them, no matter how I feel.

How do we make sure that we draw the reforming light with every action of ours

The Reforming Light is something above us. The Kabbalists attained it and its function. We should listen to their advice. That is: Stay connected, read books (preferably in a group), make a schedule for the spiritual work and stick to it (habit becomes a second nature), think about friends as much as possible and listen to Rav’s advice and guidance.

Lesson 4 – The three pillars – Group and books – Assignment

    Hello friends,

After Gianni talked about What Happens When We Die? in Kabbalah Explained Simply, I delved a little deeper into the subject. This excerpt shows a true source (Nidah, 16b) and Rabashes explanation.

However, we must know that each person who is born has the work of choice, for one is not born righteous, as our sages said (Nidah, 16b), and these are their words: “Rabbi Hanina Ben Papa said, ‘That angel appointed over pregnancy is called Laila [night]. He takes a drop, places it before the Creator, and says to Him, ‘Lord of the world, what shall become of this drop? A mighty one or a weakling, a wise or a fool, wealthy or poor?’ But wicked or righteous he did not say.’”

This means that one is not born righteous, as he did not say, “righteous or poor.” Rather, this is given to man’s choice. According to each one’s labor in Torah and Mitzvot [commandments], so he is rewarded with cleansing his heart and correcting that which he must according to the root of his soul, and then he is completed.

Rabash, What Is the Degree One Should Achieve in Order Not to Have to Reincarnate?, Article 10, 1984

It is really interesting that from the first sentence “…for one is not born righteous..” to the last “But wicked or righteous he did not say.” the flow of my thoughts got disconnected.

Without the explanation I would have certainly missed such profound insight that being righteous is man’s choice.

Original kabbalistic writings inspire me to persist in study so that someday I will see what is written between the lines, hidden from plain sight, and to see the difference between what the white paper says and what the letters say.

I’ve taken the Strucutred Learning Path quite slowly. I started Kabbalah Revealed in August 2021, and then Kabbalah Revealed Part 2 in August 2022. In a year between I was reading a lot of Kabbalistic text, watching Kabbalah Explained Simply on Youtube, getting accustomed to Kabbalah way of thinking. I went through some internal changes also. Then I reached a ‘saturation point’ when I sensed I needed a group. All I wanted was information about a Ten, how does it work, why do it, everything…And strangely Kabbalah Explained Simply talked more and more of a group and more and more text came to me that talked about a group. Kabbalah in Action made it clearer what a group is, Kabbalah Experience even more, with the peak at the end of this lecture.
It is so profound that my need to know something has led me so linearly to answers. It could be called a path. And now I’m off to Graduate Environment where I hope I will meet you all, my friends.

A while ago I got a ‘revelation’ that all the important parts of my life were not done by what I perceived as ME (ego me). And I knew I was led here to Kabbalah. It’s nice to get a confirmation of my thoughts by an Kabbalah instructor. It adds so much weight to them. Thank you 😇.

Converter is the group. By connecting with the group we ‘simulate’ the spiritual state and then little by little we rise to that state and it becomes our new world.
