MsNandi MarieParticipantIf I look at reality from the Creator/God’s perspective then I know that His creation is actually perfect and it affords us to live a harmonious life. What I mean is that all creation has a purpose and God/Creator’s attitude does not change in regards to all creation. He only wants to do that which is good for His creation.
With that in mind we can see the world as bad/fearful or we can adjust our attitude and realize that everything that happens is for the development of us reaching the Upper level of reality.
The scripture at 1st John 4:8 Says “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love”
Hence God/The Creator is the epitome of Love and His nature cannot change for He is true to who He is. He is not an angry Creator who wants to heap destruction on His creation. We should not fear those things happening in the world or anything that happens to us personally. Knowing that we have a Creator who loves us and wants the best for us is quite comforting.
Numbers 6:24-26 (NKJV):Â “The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”

MsNandi MarieParticipantThe perspective on prayer was eye opening. I realized many of my prayers were pleas for the Creator to provide me with something or to change someone in my life. The course emphasized the following:
1. True prayer should be self-judgment or self analysis. The person judges and analyzes himself with regards to the upper force.
2. We ask the Creator to change us, to change our perception so that we can understand Him. We should not ask the Creator to change His attitude towards us.
3. God the Creator does not pay attention to the Words but to the intent and sincerity in our hearts.
The difference between Kabbalah and religion was very revealing:
Kabbalah is a scientific method of establishing DIRECT relationship with the Creator. Kabbalah teaches that the Creator does not change His attitude towards us. Religion teaches an angry God who changes His mind about us based on our actions.

Once the goal is defined, you will continue to refine it to keep yourself perfectly aimed at the target. How would you currently define the goal for which you are studying? #486943
MsNandi MarieParticipantMy goal is to understand my purpose and to truly understand the Creator. My goal is to walk in the path of life and to develop my Spirituality. As the lesson stated “In order to know who I am, I need to know who the Creator is.
Deuteronomy 10:12 tells us to Fear the Lord, walk in all His ways and to love Him with all our heart and with all our soul.
The most important fact is there None above Him. Learning to put our egoistic traits aside receive and then become a bestower.

MsNandi MarieParticipantThe fact that the externals can effect the quality of development of the essence, but NOT the essence itself. I found that perspective quite interesting.

MsNandi MarieParticipantMy question has to do with the lesson statement for what we will learn in week 2:
“How you are completely controlled in every aspect of your life and why you still think you can achieve freedom.”
From what I read, it appears that we are influenced by outside forces and inside (internal) forces. However, according to the lesson, “Free Will is really ignorance.”
I do understand that our environment influences our choices (where we were born to whom we were born) but I am baffled by the thought that we are completely controlled in EVERY aspect of our lives.
Please explain. Thank you.
March 2, 2026 at 12:15 am EST in reply to: Preparation Question: What is freedom and how, by the help of the Reforming Light, can we acquire it? #484262
MsNandi MarieParticipantTrue freedom is in the connection with the Creator by not just the absence of certain things but by the spiritual. That point in the heart that leads us to connect with the Divine. It’s not so much dos and donts but understanding the root of our soul. “There is no coercion in spirituality.”
The environment that appreciates the internality more than the externality is one we want to dwell in.
Internality: the state of being internal focused on our inner nature, or psychological inwardness.
