- September 19, 2023 at 3:36 pm EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: Considering our journey thus far, how can we fortify our connection with the illuminating force? How do we amplify its transformative influence? #331209patrick diederichParticipant
By wanting to bestow rather than receive we draw the light that reforms. As a result we find ourselves connecting with others and are thus able to see another way of acting. We see through our blocades and how our ego held us back to make the progress in spirituality we so desperately yearned for. That insight makes us realize how little progress we have actually made. On the other hand the little attainment we just experienced hints at a new possibility: that of trusting the process and allowing to be led by our intuition. And so we attain a new degree of freedom, that of voluntarily embracing and working with whatever what comes to us from the outside. The freedom to change our attitude from a: yes- but to a simple: yes! And so a new cycle starts; an insight leds to a regret and an intuition of what should be corrected. This desire for correction than brings an intuition of new ways to ascend. And so the light that reforms will resume its guidance and helps us getting a stronger sense of what the collective unconscious actually is and how we relate to that field. We strengthen the influence of the reforming light by experiencing the joy that comes from feeling connected, and trusting the intuition we get from the field’s intelligence.
September 7, 2023 at 12:13 pm EDT in reply to: Do you sense the surge of narcissism and self – centeredness in our culture? Where do you feel the effects of egoism in your life the most? #330374patrick diederichParticipantI experience egoism as a blockade to adapt to a changing world that would in effect require a fundamental shift of personal and collective attitude. Our egotunnel is limiting our cognition of what is actually out there by focusing only on what it narrowly perceives as  selfinterests or that reinforces our belief that an altruistic attitude is a sign of childish foolishness. No wonder that we do not believe in a sustainable and inclusive future anymore.
September 4, 2023 at 5:16 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Prompt: What does transitioning from a self-centered perception of reality to one grounded in altruism entail? #330164patrick diederichParticipantIt starts with a true act of free will : saying yes to the will of bestowal even though we still misperceive it almost completely due to our egotistical mode of reception. By embracing our conscious input with a non judgemental, curious and loving mind we learn to sense differently. It feels as though the world changed. In reality though it is our representation of the world that changed. By adapting ourselves  to the changes in a spontaneous manner we notice the difference between our new take on life and the robotic conditionning we upheld before our surrender to a more holistic & integral worldview. By sticking to faith above reason we overcome many blockades that kept throwing us back so many times before. Best of all, we find it easier to connect with our fellows and so get a sense of the beauty of our interconnectedness. We come to appreciate our differences and feel happy when others experience beauty, wellbeing personal progress. We become more aware of our negative attitudes, feelings towards our kind. We thus can observe our habit of criticizing ourselves and others and formulate a conscious desire to stop doing that. And so we formulate a new prayer for help and start with the help from above a new cycle of healing and growth…
September 1, 2023 at 10:20 am EDT in reply to: Preparation Question: Congratulations on progressing through the intermediary stages of your Kabbalah learning by staring this new course! Since the wisdom of Kabbalah deals with developing our precious eternal part—the soul—it is important to take a moment to note your expectations from this stage of your journey, and later check back and see what aligned with or differed from your expectations, and how you might’ve changed in the process: What do you hope to get out of this course you’re now starting? #330010patrick diederichParticipantI would like to learn about Kabbalah’s method for becoming more altruistic. I want to connect with other people who share the same wish to become more loving. I am also very eager to find out about the practical benefits the method might yield in terms of mutual bestowment and growth. I also hope that the study will give me a clearer idea how to set up and maintain an environment that fosters spiritual growth and happiness for all that are in contact with it. Lastly I feel the need for further clarifications on how to interpret the study material correctly. I can see why a  solitary study of kabbalistic texts is not recommended. A hermit student would risk to interpret the texts in a solipsistic manner. May we correct each others egotistic delusions and access together a higher understanding of His love and glory. Such an experience would be a great motivating power and will also make it so much easier to communicate the advantages of an altruistic mindset to the general public. We are all one, this insight is very empowering , so let’s build a collective vision of what will be possible if we all connect as one big family.

What do I expect from this course? #329689patrick diederichParticipantI liked the clear explanations and structure of the course. It really helps to have a guided approach to the reading material. I also enjoyed reading and reflecting the comments of my fellow students. I was often very moved by what I read.
patrick diederichParticipantI was very struck by the idea that spiritual progress is not a solitary enterprise. Being in a study group is indeed motivating. I am grateful for all of you sharing your thoughts and insights. I wish my fellow students to draw a lot of inspiration and great insights from the material. May you find practical value in the process of self-exploration!
